'22 Recruiting Forum: Official LSU Pregame/Game Thread

Later today we march into Death Valley to accomplish that which is good in life. What is good in life you may ask?

Regardless of what happens tomorrow I'm encouraged. I said after Pruitt was fired it would take the right guy 4-5 years to build this program back into something relevant.

In year two we find ourselves in the conversation and no longer considered an easy out. To the contrary, we are just an upgrade in a few key positions defense from being among the elite.

Let's go take care of business tomorrow...... Build on each week...... See where this takes us!

How many starters are confirmed as being out tomorrow?

It would've been a tough enough task to beat UT at full strength. We're thin enough at OL, plus Dellinger will be playing with a broken hand.

Cam Wire is a freaking turnstile. If he's on the field, Daniels better be ready.

Not good at all.

Anthony Richardson is a more talented QB player than Daniels. Richardson literally had the game of his life and 4th down after 4th down for them to even hang in the game. If we bring our B game we will win hands down. I really want to see how good we are with our A game tho. If we contain Daniels, the game will be ugly.

Nobody talks about that. Granted we didn’t stop Florida on 4th down but had they punted instead of going for it, the game would had been a blowout.

My keys to watch:
1. Pass rush- if we are able to get pressure and finally get there, that will throw their O majorly off. With Campbell out, Joseph, Young, and Baron must take advantage.
2. Fast start- we practice in the AM. We need to jump out on them and put pressure on their O to attempt to keep up. That will keep them from running to the ball to try and shorten the game.
3. Balance- Can we keep Hooker from having to be the primary run option. I look forward to the speed option with Sampson and I think Wright is close to breaking one.
4. 2 turnovers- If our D gets 2 turnovers, we should win. Period.
5. Race to 35- Get into the territory that they cannot keep up. Against quality opponents LSU has scored 31,21, and 24.
Prediction: I look for Simpson or Wright to break one and for the run to take pressure off Hookers legs. Our D struggles but holds when we need. 24-35!
