OSU ran their zone beaters well, with the CB's we have I don't understand not playing man and making it difficult to get off the LOS. I definitely want to see an open QB battle, don't know if it's Nico or OC but he stares down WR's, throws into good coverage when pressured. When we get a chance to see from behind the QB on a play in several instances there are open receivers that he looks past. I don't understand why we don't have slants, RB screens and we hardly ever use the TE's. The more we utilize everyone the harder it is to cover. Our offense wasn't this easy to figure out when Hendon was here so I'm left to think our old OC or Nico aren't performing at the level we were excited about. I have no problem saying Nico has the physical tools needed for the position but something is missing, coaching or intangibles. I know it's his first year as a starter and I will be called crazy but just never saw any improvement in these areas, need to have an honest eval of the coordinators as well as open competition for the QB position.JMO

There’s also press zone. Which gives CB’s the help they need over the top while also confusing the QB and offense if you change it up between that and other coverages. Michigan played a lot of press zone.

This is all very clearly @Weezer's fault. He went to his dog and human eating yeti party and then that abomination occurred on the field. Don't know what more proof we need to ban hammer him into next century.

Yep. That’s the amoeba coverage I was referring to that they run. You don’t know where pressures come from either. It’s a very exotic scheme. It’s a reason they continue to shut down OSU’s offense.

Almost seems that Banks doesn’t look at tape enough and utilize what works against different teams either. Had a couple weeks to at least incorporate some of those schemes.

The linebackers and safeties can not play man. We have 3 competent defenders in the back 7. Ricky, Jermod and Boo.

Because our Dline has gotten pressure on the QB all season against the mediocre teams.

Last night, played a great team and they got smoked. Something tells me those guys aren’t as good as we thought either. Same thing with UGA, no pressure, they got smoked.


Like Sampson hiding our weaknesses on offense, the dline hid our weaknesses on defense.

DL got beat all night for sure. But the TD specifically to Smith when he ghosted McCoy off the line wasn’t bc of the DL. It’s bc he tried to jam Smith at the line and Smith swatted him away like a fly and immediately had 2 steps on him.

And I think McCoy is good. Smith is just a next level baller.

Yup...our DL usually dissappears during big games...but God forbid if you criticize coach Garner.

Both of their points but also our coaching staff needs an overhaul. Need a new DB coach, first and foremost. Then we need to look at OC and OL coachs next and then examine DC because banks has been trash in my opinion. If we didn’t have Rodney as DL coach our defense would be absolutely abysmal.

Truly not sure about the development of our WRs and QBs either.

Hes a good depth guy, absolutely shouldn’t start. neither should Turrentine or Brooks.

I just don’t understand not putting Boo at free. Christian Harris could play the start.

Most likely are recruiting coordinators.

Cut used ti visit his friends in offseason to grt fresh ideas. That is why he won.
