Obviously Oklahoma's OL is young and inexperienced and I think they will use the quick passing game early and often. Their WR's will be a tough cover for our DB's no matter who is back there imo.

Getting out to an early lead, making OU predictable and one dimensional is key. Imo

Someone please refresh my memory as to what happened during Orlando Brown's recruitment. I know the basics (committed to UT for 9 months prior to backing off of his commitment shortly before NSD and was rumored to have grade/qualification concerns), but his recent comments, in which he stated he "hates UT" and wants to "get back at UT," seem pretty strong. I recall watching his announcement, and he and his family were ecstatic about UT. I thought it was just grades, and given our roster at the time, we were not willing to risk taking someone who would not ultimately get cleared. Am I missing anything?

That's it. Except the "hate" word came from the teammate. Brown shrugged it off like it wasn't a huge deal.

Take care of the ball, win the turnover battle. If that happens, I like our chances.

Regarding Moseley, it wasn't a speed issue with him IMO. He's fast enough to cover the deep ball. The problem is that he was getting beaten at the LOS and Dieter was savvy enough to know how to keep him at bay once he got him on his hip. The QB did the rest - really impressed by Johnson's accuracy, hope we don't play another QB with that kind of deep ball this year. We'll play against several better teams than BG, but we may not see a better QB.

Not going to make a prediction. Stoops is going to learn something about 100,000+ out for blood, though. Regardless of outcome, he will respect this fanbase when he leaves Knoxville... that's one thing of which I'm certain.

Agree! They will play with a chip Saturday night...CAN'T WAIT! Need to catch up later in the week and decide a place and time to meet for the Vol walk.

Agreed, as the defense should be. Weren't they the ones wearing the orange jerseys all fall practice because they were considered better than the offense? I think coaches and players correct those secondary and upfront issues by Saturday.

I'm so pumped. I almost passed out screaming during the BGSU game. Was decently loud on some third downs.

I expect you crazy fools to gyrate the tectonic plates on Saturday night.

I would really like to see some option/pitch type plays this saturday that the media reported seeing this fall camp. Anything and everything we can do to catch the sooners off guard in this one is a must imo. I'm not overly confident in our secondary right now with or without mcneil/TKjr.

Thanks UCvol, i've been a long time reader of the recruiting forum and finally decided to get on and give my 2 cents whatever it is worth. Small world actually, I'm originally from Medina and my girlfriend is from union city. GBO :rock:

From what it looked like Saturday, the throw game will be predicated off of the run game. So the run will set up the pass. We have built in play action off of our designed run sets. So there are always several options on certain plays.

Ethan Wolf could be the biggest beneficiary of anyone in this offense.
