@GuerinEmig: #Sooners Eric Striker asked about playing SEC: "I don't know why people blow gas up their ass all the time."

I'd assume blowing gas up an ass is something like butt chugging?

I'm not exactly sure what that phrase means but considering the SEC just broke its own record for most teams (8) in the Top 25 Rankings (Now 10), I'd say we're kind of a big deal.

It's easy to kick a man while he's down. Let him get back up mad and see how the fight plays out. They don't have much of a leg to stand on when they beat us during one of the worst stretches in our history, just like we won't be bragging when we beat down Florida this year (Though I will be shedding happy tears).

Since you're a wrestling fan, you should check out the WWE thread in the Pub.

This team doesn't need it, but bulletin board material will just add fuel to the fire. Can't wait to watch this team out for blood Saturday!

It's kind of like when Butch Jones called Bama the red team. Zero point in firing up a team that's this hungry.

Breaker I remember you not being as high on Moseley as some of us, me included. Was your hesitation in him that he was not good at deep ball coverage like what we saw on Saturday? Did he play poorly or just the victim of some dimes from Johnson?

He played poorly because he didn't compete. Their WRs aren't bigger than the ones he's supposedly locking down at practice.

From what it looked like Saturday, the throw game will be predicated off of the run game. So the run will set up the pass. We have built in play action off of our designed run sets. So there are always several options on certain plays.

Ethan Wolf could be the biggest beneficiary of anyone in this offense.

I'd love to see North get that deep post that Malone got. Or the jump ball Williams got. Personally........ He's a man-child we need to feed. Best WR on the team. IMO

Did he get any targets? I didn't see him on the stat line.

I agree with you about North. Worley had confidence in North. It may seem odd to say this but I'm not sure Dobbs has had the game time opportunity to build the same confidence in North as a receiver.

I keep seeing talk about OK's offensive line being inexperienced. Did they lose some guys to graduation/NFL or what's the real story? I know they've got Brown at one tackle spot.

I actually hope he (Brown) makes this game personal for him. Will distract from his focus, which isn't a good thing for him with 9, 56, 4, 5 and 42 coming at him before his kick step.

I assume via graduation, but they have 3 starters making their first away start. 2 rs Fr and a sophomore. And performed pretty poorly against Akron at home.

Worley misused North terribly. Dobbs will use North this game. He's throwing to the correct guy on most plays. Coaches need to feature North a bit more though. IMO

North would've came down with that deep post ball. He has damn strong hands. North had some good plays against OU last year. DeBord needs to make that a focal point in the gameplan.

I'm sure Debord has got the first 8-10 plays scripted right out of the gate. One of those, needs to be a 5 yard hitch to North. Get him going early and it's a nice rhythm throw for Dobbs.

Thank y'all. I think the polite and hospitable thing for us to do is welcome them to the banks of the Tennessee River and make their eardrums bleed so bad they literally can't hear the play or the snap count. Like, seriously, 5 false starts are too few. I want Neyland's structure to shake and for every single person to leave the stadium Jim Mcelwain. I want Joe Mixon to pull an Adam Lane, Jr. and crap himself as Cam Sutton flips him in the air like the pregame coin toss. I want Orlando Brown to request an immediate transfer to UT just because he doesn't want to envision the possibility that he may have to face Barnett in a Bowl in the next 2 years. I want Striker to head back to Muskogee with a tangible keepsake from Tennessee: grass stains on his ass and a clump of mud from Shield-Watkins field in his facemask.

I want to win. I don't care if it's by 1 or 21. Let's get it.

This is why I hope we get the ball first, whether OU defers to us or we win the toss and take it. I think we can score on a scripted first drive. Get 7, get a stop, and get 7 more.

We go up 14-0 and OU will be in deep ****. Crowd will smell blood.

Oklahoma's front 7 looks small. I think we run all over them. dline is going to destroy Baker.
I really don't think this will as close as everyone is predicting.
35-17 Vols
300 yards rushing

I don't think he had a target all game. I've got a good feeling he comes alive vs OU though.

6 catches
81 yards
TD on a slant pattern from the 8

His stats would be better on 6 catches. IMO

I'd love to see him with 8-10 touches a game. Let Howard and Pearson work off him. Those would be my 3 wide starters. Let Jennings, Malone, Smith, P.Williams and Johnson spell them but not a whole lot. I hate this heavy rotation at WR. Go with your top players period.

The rotation is bugging the hell out of me. WR aren't even getting to stay in an entire series. That is with us running the ball like 60 times and only passing 22. Just seems like they are overthinking it.
