Skipped all the pages except this one. Here's my take , for the nickel that it's worth. Offense was rough. Lot of mistakes. Defense was rough early but got better. Special Teams not good. One stat that matters is the W. Mark of a team learning how to win when they are not at their best. GO VOLS!! 2-0

I was really impressed by our defense, yes I know they had their backup in the second half but we were in Slovis and Patti’s face ALL game and were physical. It’s also great to see our defense step up and win the game when and bail out the offense.

I thought their backup was pretty solid honestly. Made a lot of tough throws with guys in his face

Flowers gives me a Josh Smith vibe on punt returns. All we heard was how much Butch trusted his hands and that’s why he held the job over Callaway. But Josh had a couple of fumbles. Play your talent! #ReleaseSquirrel

His catch on 3rd and 9 and the effort to get that first down probably saved the game. Hendon overthrew him a few times tonight or he might have had 3 TDs. Guy is every bit as good as advertised.

I don't think most teams will commit to stopping the run like Pitt and leave their DBs on a island. We had drops and bad throws that bailed the defense out. They never really got on their heels where they feared consistently getting the ball thrown over their heads. We have to clean alot of up but I think we will be fine.
