Yep. Happens to every team. It's nice to be able to get an SEC win when we don't play well.

Anyone remember the 2007 game against USCjr where we got out to a 21-0 lead and then barely pulled it out in OT courtesy of penalties? Eerily reminiscent of today.

DCs are going to continue selling out to stop the run. If Pearson and Malone do their job and catch those balls, this game ain't close. Mizzou and Vandy Defenses aren't going to wait till they are down 14 to do it. Dobbs has got to throw better and the WRs have to make the play when they get the chance. The running game is going to stall, and the OL is nowhere good enough to overcome a stacked line....bottom line...passing game produces, or we are in serious danger of losing those games.

I'm thinking this game wakes are team up. We win out! 8-4 and win the bowl game and then we are named number team in both polls and.....and...and.. Oh sorry got carried away.

3 observations from the last defensive play:

1) sutton missed the initial tackle.

2) TKJr missed the second tackle.

3) Barnett annihilated foreman right after he poked the football out.

I tend to think you are right. They'll be dialed in for the Mizzou game. North Texas will be a cake walk. I'm not sure which way Vandy will go, it might be like this or like Kentucky.

South Carolina is better than their record now and they are a team with absolutely nothing to lose with a coach who has nothing to lose. That's a dangerous combination.

I don't even think USCjr is that terrible. We made fun of them for the UNC game but that team is 8-1. They did put up stinkers against UGA and UK but have looked better since then. I'll take this win. Not without criticism, but I'm not upset.

Yeah, looking like the A&M game last week wasn't a fluke. I'll be curious to see if they keep it up to finish the season or collapse after two close losses.

Yeah you've got to give them credit. I thought they would roll over early but they didn't. They let it all hang out and gave us all we could handle.

Dobbs is looking like a more complete QB. He saved us over and over in the 2nd half

Agree with everybody - glad it was us getting the W in an ugly game for a change.

But what was Jancek thinking in this game? He created mismatches for USCe instead of for us along with not isolating Cam on Cooper. I'm sure Randolph's stupidity hurt things. Points out a major need at safety next season. Still not sure Evan is a defensive guy.

Then there is the usual Jekyl and Hyde on offense. Well, successful on that play. Don't need to run it anymore. Next, let's make Dobbs do something else he doesn't do well again.

The O-line needs work. They got whipped in the second half. Mizzou's D-line is even better that USCe. USCe has a better offense than Mizzou, though.

So much for being one of the lesser penalized teams.

Glad that one is over. Three more to go. Will take a W any way they can get it. Need 8-4 to keep the trends good for Butch as well as to keep the players pumped.

Dobbs is tantalizingly close to being an absolutely amazing QB. His erratic passes are weird, but I think they could be fixed with better coaching.

I guess they were pretty much daring us to make Dobbs beat them through the air. He came through for the most part.

The disappointing part was the defense. Hard to get excited with that win. It's more like a huge relief that we didn't lose.

Does that mean we're back?
