Red zone play calling has been highly questionable. Larry Scott has just flat out struggled in that area. Its not a player issue because they have moved the ball into the red zone 3 times today. Scott doesnt seem to know how to put points on the board inside the 20.
I really think this offense asks too much of the WR's. They don't allow them to be creative and athletic. That's why they are all interchangeable and no alpha ever emerges. It requires perfect precise route running and perfect precise passing to be successful. There is no feel for space or room to trust your gut imo.
I believe this is why the only time our offense ever looks explosive is when our backs are against the wall and we absolutely have to score a TD.
Everything about this offense telegraphs what's coming. Five seasons in and the video of how it works and is called is already catalogued. The O scheme blows. Great individual efforts have carried it in the past.
