BUT SC has decided if they do nothing else they will stop John Kelly's runs and that means we have to find some more playmakers to get them to back off a bit.

They’ve dominated the first half and one big play for SC and they will be behind. It’s just so painful to watch this team try to score points. They get inside the 10 and just crap their pants time and time again.

Completely agree and believe me - I’m way off this coaching train. At this point just gotta root for the kids and hope they make some plays on their own. Coaches will do their best to lose this lead.

One thing I will say about Guarantano. He’s not throwing to heavily covered receivers. Dormady would be forcing throws all over the field. He could’ve stood to throw the ball away a time or two but all in all he’s played fairly well. Now the receivers on the other hand, they’re struggling badly

I really think this offense asks too much of the WR's. They don't allow them to be creative and athletic. That's why they are all interchangeable and no alpha ever emerges. It requires perfect precise route running and perfect precise passing to be successful. There is no feel for space or room to trust your gut imo.

I believe this is why the only time our offense ever looks explosive is when our backs are against the wall and we absolutely have to score a TD.

The system is trash, plain and simple. That's the kind of philosophy you have at Central Michigan when you don't have the Callaway types on your team. At this level you have to give your best players the football on a consistent basis. It'd also help if we would actually play our best players like Bituli and Sapp over Jumper and McDowell.

Yep. Tight coaches = tight players. He almost just has to have a vastly superior roster to have more than a 50% chance to win the game.
