I am not an expert but I believe if you pay $200 to park they will let you park next to the statue of General Neyland.
You'd be surprised (I am). For spots in G10, G4, 9 (anything within a block of the stadium) they are listed for $700 to over $1,000. I'd like G16, but even those are listed for almost $400.

I am confused. Are you talking about 1 parking spot, for 1 game?

Quite a while ago I used to have season tickets about half the section beneath the VOLS letters in KK. My bro and I would sometimes walk up to the letters at halftime and look at the river.

Those are actually great seats. Before the north endzone was double decked, low-ish KK was directly opposite of the coaches' cameras for game film on a platform atop the single-decked north endzone. You can really see plays develop and the whole field. Sometimes from that vantage point you could call a touchdown almost immediately after the snap! Binoculars for close ups add fun.
Honestly lower level upper deck is my preferred place to sit. You can see the whole field and things develop.
I also honestly prefer to sit in the endzone where the offense and defenses backs are to you. It's fun watching things develop.

Yup, on the resale marketplaces (Stubhub, Seatgeek, etc.)
The best place I've found to park, on the far end of campus over near the rail road tracks there's a parking garage, it's a street off of the strip. When you walk down the hill (it's small) you come out at the cookout on the far end of the strip. Last time I was down 2 years ago it was $20 dollars to park there, but all the money went to the children's hospital. Pretty easy to get in and out of.

Do you remember the lot name? Was it Lot 14 (or maybe it's referred to as Section 14)? I've noticed that one is on the SW side of all the railroad tracks, but didn't know if we could walk across all those tracks and head east to the stadium (I'm thinking we'd walk down Holdsclaw, left on Summitt so we could get a picture by the Rock, and then right on Volunteer Blvd to the stadium).

We might be in a different spot.
The one I'm talking about is SP Parking off of White Avenue.

Surely those prices are for the entire season, and then they'd still be overpriced.

If true, people should be selling their parking passes to finance the purchase of actual game tickets.
It's definitely true...if you go to the sites you'll see them. It's crazy!
