Serious prediction here. Kelly goes for 120+ yards (he's been something of a bright spot, right?), but we continue to struggle on offense. We pick up a TD on either special teams or defense. The makeshift D-line mostly holds up against an inferior opponent with Barnett picking up multiple sacks. We cruise to a lackluster win with TTU scoring late to make the score a little closer than it should have been.
UT - 34
TTU - 17
Kinda low don't you think. Kelly may get 200 Saturday. He's dynamic as a runner. Averaged 6.7 yards a carry Saturday. Had 91 versus A&M in back up action. Plus he's playing the worst team on the schedule.

Direct snap, toss sweep, screen, etc. Plays that would create space and allow him to get to full speed would be ideal.
We know he has wheels. I'd think his vision is superb being that he hits those seams on the kickoff full speed. Let him tote the rock some.
This opinion may be unpopular, but I don't think we know much about his vision. He usually doesn't have to use it. Most of his good returns are a result of his blocking unit clearing a highway while he follows his lead blocker (Abernathy usually, but it was Byrd against SC) into the crease at full speed. He's also hard as hell to tackle when he doesn't get speared (on a missed call that I'm still pissed about).
I'm not saying he has poor vision. I'm just saying that we don't know because he doesn't need to use it very often.
That said, I do agree that the coaches should try him out on offense, if they haven't already. I don't know how well he can block, run routes, catch (as a receiver, not a returner), run between the tackles, etc... but surely that speed and tackle-breaking ability has a role somewhere in this offense.
