Recruiting Forum: Official Texas A&M Pre-Game/Game Thread

I didn't change out of my yard clothes into my Gameday gear.

I spent a large portion of the day cleaning up. I broke the dam.

Jumper had a great game again. There was a guy calling him sorry for not being able to cover Kirk lol. Our fans sometimes, geez

Defense fought like hell and we should be proud of them.

Kirkland wouldn't have been able to cover Kirk either.

Although many posts are true, instead of arguing over the play calls and passing targets, they are not the cause of the loss. Turnovers and defensive injuries cost the loss. You can't do much about the injury issue. However, Dobbs gets major credit when the team wins (as he should). Dobbs shoulders a lot of the blame in this loss. One or two less TO's by him and it's a different game result.

Next up will be tested this coming Saturday.

Defense just didn't have anything left in the tank at the end.

I really think SEC makes them play

They have to. That game may have implications on who plays in the SECCG. If they don't UT better sue the crap out of the SEC. I hate stupidity and not making UF play that game either today, tomorrow, or Monday is straight stupid!

Was yelling the same thing at the tv, "just fall on the ball!"

No doubt Dobbs has a lot of positives, but sometimes his decision making is too slow in downfield passes and doesn't see a wide open receiver for a first down and misses on a much more difficult pass.

I fully acknowledge we wouldn't be where we are without him, but it's those small things that separate the elite teams from those trying to become elite.

Agree. No LB should be put in that position to have to do that. Zone the LB's. That also helps with the Knight keepers and scrambles. Rule #1 - keep the play in front of you.

I wouldn't call it a great game.
He is limited but he goes all out.

We dont see him miss a lot because there are plays he just doesn't get too. But he's what we have so we gotta roll with it

We'll be Down to a 4th string Will Linebacker vs Bama. yikes

If we're still pointing fingers I'll point mine at Dobbs. He had his worse game in 2 years decision wise. He caused 2 fumbles and should've recovered Kelly's fumble.

EDIT: got Vols4us'd

Considering the Volnation melt over him, I'm just trying to give him some love lol

Hoping for a good injury report this week:crossfingers:

Elliott Berry finished 2nd on the team in tackles with 7. We will likely need him to step up big next week.

Without him we lose week 1. He had a bad game.

I wasn't gonna say it, but I did. We have ample evidence now of his..how do you say it?..Not exactly giving his all. I may be wrong but I don't think I am. I can forgive mistakes when kids are fighting, clawing and busting their tail, but his half aceing it, I just can't stomach anymore.

Sure didn't but give them credit...they continued to keep us in the game and give our offense numerous chances to overcome a gazillion turnovers. This loss is on the offensive skill positions and their poor ball security. We won in the trenches all day on both sides of the ball, which usually wins football games in the SEC. Doesn't matter when you have 7 turnovers. Cut those turnovers in half and we probably win by at least 21+.

One positive: outside of a couple snapping issues, Coleman Thomas looked pretty good at center. He's really good in that spot when he's healthy.

It was terrible timing on TOs. I mean at least two touchdowns were almost a given.

I can't remember. Did Evan Berry keep playing after his fumble where it looked like he was concusssed?
