Recruiting Forum: Official Texas A&M Pre-Game/Game Thread

We are going to be really good next year. The QB that wins the job will have a Jennings, Malone, and Byrd at WR. The only OL gone is Weisman, Wolf is back and regardless if the RB is Hurd, Kamara or Kelly we will be good there, plus we add Chandler. If Kamara comes back the offense could be ridiculous.

The defense will have another year in the system, just need to have someone step up for Barnett and all this playing time should help guys like Buchanon, Osborne, and McDowell progress.

I'd be interested in seeing JJ drop into the slot like we did with Da'Rick so we could go four wide with those three and PW next year.

Did anyone notice that Boulware came in for Jashon, when he was injured, and we didn't miss a beat? How nice is it to finally have OL depth.

I've seen Byrd go over the middle more and be more physical than all of our award combined the last 3 years. That boy got Stones and should be game planned into more touches

Was the only WR responding to the physical play of Florida early on. This game be responded big too. Young Johnson made a contested catch and he had just gotten into the game. Either you've got it in you or not at this level. Malone looking for a bail out from refs is getting old. He's a junior and needs to play tough or hit the bricks.

I just hope that TAMU can somehow find a way to Atlanta so that we can prove who was actually the better team tonight.

Tired of all the bull**** with UT being "lucky". We aren't lucky, we are "better".

I'm not one to be bothered much by announcers but I wanted to punch that old saggy boob of a man so bad.

Yes I felt the same way. He is always trying to be cute with his lines. Be glad when he is retire and take Gary with him.

Despite the injuries and turnovers, we were right there, on the road, to win it. It's incredibly disheartening. Tough loss. But this team will never, ever give up. I love watching them play. Every single second of Tennessee football is fun to watch and is relevant. When was the last time we could say that?

This a million times over. I am actually looking forward to playing Alabama instead of dreading a game we try to stay within 30. That is what's big about where the program is right now. Progress yes but more importantly is that I don't feel it is hopeless before a game even starts. That is where we were. Some idiots do not appreciate that but those were the same fans in 98 who complained because even though we won every game, we never won by as much as they thought we should have.

We have a nasty receiving core.

We saw more slants than the last couple years combined. The more I think about it, the more I absolutely LOVED Debord's play calling yesterday.

His best called game IMO. Hope he keeps it going. Minus 3-4 turnovers it should have been tied at half time with a blow out win in the second half.

I keep looking for the poster that trashed him the last time he subbed in for Robertson. Oh well, nowhere to be found.

He is obviously prepared for the role of next man up. O-line is taken care of for several years. Still need to recruit studs, but we are good there.

To be nice since he is going to The Villages soon, suck an egg, Verne.

You and I just don't speak the same language.

I basically stated that I had a great experience and didn't state how proud I was of the team. Somehow "Negavols and their threads aren't going to ruin this for me" got translated into your language and you got offended by it? :dunno:

Turnovers set up most of their touchdowns...we would have led.

I'll be happy if the last tennessee game he calls is his beloved tide losing to the VOLS! Beat bama and shut everybody the hell up. Nobody wants this team in ATL or the playoffs BC nobody wants to play ut. I strongly believe we can beat anybody in the country

We started out great moving the ball yesterday, without those damn turnovers we score close to 60 and run them out of their own place. Thanks to all the Vols that went to the game. It's awesome hearing rocky top being sung at away games

Pretty much and we plugging in players everywhere.

Boulware looked damn good and the young WRs need more PT. Malone dropping passes with the game on the line is flat out ridiculous.

This team is loaded. I would bet that CFA would make plays if put into this offense too. When we line up and run right at people(not SIDEWAYS) we gash them. The line did well yesterday. Dobbs didn't have pressure most of the game versus any 4 man fronts.

Free Byrd Man and Johnson now. I'm close to being done with Malone and his sometimey action on the field. Give me a kid that wants the ball all game at WR. Who will make a play with DBs hanging on him. Not this pretty boy at WR..... Smh

Byrd and Jennings just make plays. Byrd looks like a better version of Pig Howard right now.

Every week I see other teams with tough as nails WRs who make great catches in traffic and fight for extra yards. We haven't had that in a long time, but it looks like we do again with these young guys.
