The wasted runs up the middle kill me. Throw slants. Throw a screen. Throw a slot fade. Throw a TE seam. Run a toss. Run the shovel pass. Run the option.

Straight handoff up the middle is so lazy.

Im with you 100%. Its mind boggling. I really want to know why coach heup calls that 95% of the time. What’s the purpose of the inside run after every big offensive play.

Just got done watching the game on DVR.

The offense was anemic, especially passing but the running backs are leading this team on offense. The defense is legit. They are for real. Salted that game away. That defense is legit.

In the second half Milton ran with authority, we need that. If he could get that attitude early the offense would be better for it.

Big game by Williams, it was just a matter of time.

It just seemed like you were aggravated that for a lot of us...our patience has run out with Joe Milton.

I really hate that it has...I like the guy...and as far as Nico goes, I trust that the staff knows what to do. It is just going to SUUUUUUUCK watching Joe and Co flounder the rest of this season.

And like I said, I EXPECTED and predicted SOME significant drop-off in the passing game as I said pre-season because of so much "new"...but this is way beyond what even I expected...this passing game is JG and Co level bad....Heupel has never had a passing offense be this impotent....and yes we were spoiled by lasst year, but this ain't about that at this point.

I guess you are right...we just have to suck it up, but it is going to be nervewracking watching it 🥴

Agreed. I love Pearce and what he’s bringing week in and week out but people forget teams actually schemed around, doubled teamed, and were coached to hold Derek Barnett and make the refs make the call and he still was dominating.

Pearce is going to be another great one but I think the fact that we haven’t had someone close to Derek Barnett in a while that people forget how good he really was.

Yup. Honestly he should have probably had 40 sacks. Dude was mauled all the time. Was a complete DE. It's not a knock on Pearce either. He's a menace.

It’s funny watching the pac 12. Those teams are good, some are really good, but only 1 team in that conference plays sec/big 10 defense and thats utah. If bo was still in the sec, he wouldnt be putting up huge numbers.

They made multiple comments like that during the game. Joe isn’t the answer and he hamstrings our offense and doesn’t help our OL. When guys aren’t afraid of the pass the clog the middle.

Hence why I believe our OL was actually elite tonight. They created run lanes all night and kept us from getting sacked a ton. While almost always giving Milton a clean pocket.

There were multiple times where Milton just sat completely flat footed with all the time in the world to throw.

My opinion is Nico who (may make some mistakes) creates a threat in the passing game and would keep teams honest to where they can’t just pin their ears back every play.

The announcer who made that comment - Danielson - threw about 3 times more interception than TDs in his college career

Gotta love the way we’re running the football and winning on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Milton and wr’s are due a big game once teams start game planning to stop the run. Here’s hoping it’s next week.

We are what we are, we aren’t going to suddenly click in the passing game this year. We will have to learn to live with 150-200 yards passing against good defenses and leaning on the run game with Milton running options.
