I'm gona go with a 3 win a year improvement until we win it all. Next year. However I think we could win every game on a week to week basis. Not saying I think we are going undefeated just that we can beat anyone if play good ball. I think we win the 5 obvious games. Bama, OU, Georgia, Arky, Mizzou are toss ups, and we beat Florida and USCe.

9-3, however we could go anywhere from 7-5 to 12-0. Next year gangbustas. SEC Champs.

if we end up 7-5 with no major injuries, should butchs seat be getting warm? just curious

We have already lost two O-linemen, one of the places we can least afford to lose someone, so not that warm, but I still think we can get at least 8 in regular season.

I think we have some young talent on the OLine that is going to impress people this year. I think OLine will show good improvement.

I've thought 8-4 all summer, but finding 4 Ls that I'd put money on is really difficult. I'll stick there for now just for the sake of going with my initial thought.

What I'd like to see is the worm to turn and instead of teams having wild success right as its our turn to play them (think OM, Aub, LSU), have some teams stumble into facing UT while they're screaming hot.

Like Oklahoma have a rough time out of the gate with their offense, Arkansas have huge defensive issues no one expected, UGA never get the QB spot settled and Chubb get butterfingers...and so on.

BGSU W- Babers high octane, fast pass offense will have UT fans scratching their heads for the first half because the game will be closer than expected. UT pulls away in the second half because BGSU has no defense.

Oklahoma W - Riley runs his 4WR offense to the detriment of Perine's down hill running style. OU will complete a lot of passes over the middle of the field in dink and dunk football. Perine will be forced to help out in 6-man pass pro, but it won't be enough as our DL combines for 4 sacks and 6 hurries destroying their downfield passing game. We get 2 picks as well. Our offense is hampered by Striker and their pass rush, but some misdirection and a lot of read option result in over 200 yards rushing. We win by two touchdowns.

WCU W- Second team plays second half. We will get a good look at Dormady.

UF W- Defensive battle where field position is key. Dobbs, Hurd, and Kamara are able to move the ball on the ground and Wolf will be key in the passing game. Low scoring affair and the loudness of the swamp keep it close, but the good guys come out on top.

After this, I think we go 5-3 for our last 8 games with loses to Bama, UGA, and Mizzou.

8-4. I've been saying it for months, and I'll stick to it. I was starting to buy into the pre-season hype and almost started to say 9-3 a couple of weeks ago, but the injuries have brought me back down to earth. We're still a year or two away, especially at O-line. However, I will say that for the first time in years I think we have a chance in every game.

My 2 predictions (aside from the above prediction that the O-line will hold us back):

1.) At some point Dobbs will get banged up, but Dormady will come in and play great to help us win a game.

2.) We FINALLY beat UF thanks to our defense (not our offense) generating points.

I just don't understand all this Missouri love. I realize we've not beaten them since joining the league but we've been handcuffed. The handcuffs are off. They've lost a lot while we're getting stronger. I think we handle them this year.

9-3.

Yes, the OL is still an issue. But our defense will be top 10 nationally because of how good it is upfront. The DL will carry the team, much like how UF and Mizzou have reached 10+ wins in recent seasons due to their elite DLs.

Oh, and the East is going to be bad. Really bad. No bowl for South Carolina or Florida. Vandy wins 1 or 2. Kentucky is the only team that improves by going 6-6. Mizzou goes 8-4.

I agree totally. Plus they lost a couple of their star DE's ton the NFL.

9-3 with losses to Alabama, Georgia, and one of Oklahoma or Arkansas.

1. We have 5 receivers with a least 25 receptions (Not including RBs or TEs)
2. Kahlil, Tuttle, Phillips, & Taylor will all be on the field together at least once every game
3. Bynum wins out at MLB
4. None of our freshman OL redshirt.

Taylor will probably RS.

Bouleware will probably RS as well for OL.

I agree with pretty much all of this. We have a lot of great players, but are a year away from being a great TEAM as a whole that can weather the storm of injuries, inconsistencies, and disappointments. That will come.

I'm going 8-4. Would be happy with this. 9-3 and 7-5 are about equally as possible. 50% chance for 8-4, 25% each for 7-5 and 9-3.

All these 9-3 predictions. Georgia and Mizzou are huge games. Say we lose OU, Bama and a 3rd game not GA or Mizzou, we still go to Atlanta. 5-3 in SEC could get us there as long as we beat those two. Auburn and Bama beat GA, and GA and A&M beat Mizzou, and we win those two games, we're in Atlanta at (8-4, 5-3). And then it goes from being a meh 8-4 year to a really good 8-4 year. Hopefully we are sitting at 12-0 naturally but with the east so weak, we have a couple mulligans. Extremely realistic shot to go to Atlanta imo.

We play 5 teams ranked in the pre-season AP poll. All five are ranked higher than us. Just a little food for thought for the folks saying we should win 9 or 10. It's very conceivable that we could win ever game we're favored in, pull one upset, and finish at 8-4.

If we enter October undefeated, how will that change your outlook?

I'm currently thinking 8-4 but if we make it through Sept undefeated I can see us going 10-2 barring any major injury to a key player.

Currently thinking the OU game will be a loss, so if we can pull that off and take care of the gators in the swamp I will definitely start to fill like 10 wins is more than possible with a SECe title.

8-4

If any huge injuries, then 7-5.

Hopefully we beat Florida, but we should have last year. Until we win 1 SEC game that is not Vandy, UK, or SC, I just don't feel confident saying we will 3 of 5 against UO, UGA, UF, Mizzou, and Alabama.

UK and SC will be tougher than many think.

We still need about 3 elite OL recruits and a couple elite DB's before I feel that we are back.

Like a lot of other posters, I'm going with 8-4 in the regular season. We are still going through the growing pains of a freshman and sophomore heavy roster. We've signed a lot quality talent, but they can't make up for the recruiting short comings that Doofus and Kitten inevitably left Butch with. This is the year the talent that we signed starts to wake up to it's potential. We've got a devastating pass rush attack and our boys in the secondary are led by a future 1st round pick in Cameron Sutton, so they will be confident. This team will be tested A LOT and they will have no time to rest. The whole team is going to need to step up and give the same effort Hurd and Barnett gave last year in the SC game. You can tell Hurd was beat up that game, but nothing was going to stop him from losing ; he willed the team to victory. If we see more of that this year, 8 wins should happen. But it's going to be a tough 8 wins, especially if our offense starts to become as one-dimensional as it was last year when it faced an opponent who stacked the box. Those young guys on the OLine are going to make or break us on offense.

Long time no post. I'll grt back in the mix with my season predictions.

I say we go 9-3, win the east, and wind up 10-4.

Side predictions:

1. TKJr. breaks out with 6 ints 2 for TDs
2. Over 2500 total rushing yards on the year
