Didn’t say he wasn’t a good coach not about to get paid but it is fair to be critical when he makes mistakes.

I think he bought some time with the two road games. I don't think they'll let him coach in Neyland, win or lose. Especially on homecoming weekend. It would be a recipe for disaster.

It would be risky to trot him out in front of all those furious alums and donors when Currie needs their financial support for stadium renovations. But letting him coach in Lexington and risking only the second loss in 32 years against UK is also ballsy. It's hard to beg for money when you're seriously pissing off the walletholders.

True, but if he fired Butch last week and then they lost at KY then they'd be saying the same things so if he thinks Butch gives them the best chance o win and at the same time buys him a couple of weeks to get his ducks in a row, I think it's a good strategy. He also has an obligation to these seniors to get them the best chance of winning.

When Florida tried to intervene he backed off statement. That would have saved him some of this criticism. I’m not disagreeing with you at all. I just think he’s trying to deflect and take attention away from his crappy ass team.
