One problem with hanging on to Butch is it erroding all the good he's done here. Most including myself recognize all the positives that he's accomplished in the last 5 years. Using common sense, we see that UF is firing a coach that won the East twice in his first two seasons. You think that sits well with potential hires? You can win 9 and 10 games in your first two years and get the shaft half way through one bad season?

That same top 3 job made that underwhelming hire in the first place.

I keep thinking that there's no way our AD and administration can be this incompetent. They have to know how critical football is to our university, and yet, all evidence so far points to the fact that they don't have a clue and we are doomed to wander in the wilderness for another 40 years.
