Remember, he is the one pushing Bobo to UT.
I guess FL will get first shot at Bobo

Not that I want Bobo, but UF firing their coach first will not impact who gets whom. They don't gain any kind of advantage on landing a coach over us by firing Mac first. If anything, trying to screw him out of his buyout and firing him the year after a trip to Atlanta will hurt them.

my bad, didn't see your earlier post... Surely Currie is not this stupid right after he gets hired, to be dragging his feet without someone already locked up. Too much heat and long-term heat will be thrown at him that he has to know he may not ever recover from it...
He has to know this isn't after Kiffin and after Dooley... we are now 9+ years in the ditch and the fanbase expects to finally get out with this next hire.

That's my hope.

Agreed

It's being reported that Mac wanted out and negotiated his buyout to do so.

Rumored. Not reported as fact.

Even still that would still not be “Florida caring more and entering the coaching search before Tennessee” as many are suggesting.

It was reported this week that JS doesn’t allow his clients to negotiate a lower buyout.

I'm just pointing out that Florida is not getting out of a buyout.

There are more posters keeping a level head than I thought..
There simply is no advantage to time frame and never has been. If anyone has actual proof, examples (and more than one odd occurrence), of this "sooner the better" theory working, all I ask is that you post.

If not, at least consider that your own emotional frustration is the true cause of your demands.

We all just want it to end and don’t see this team making a bowl unless they rally around someone besides butch.

I don’t think effort is the problem or I’d agree with your entire statement.

I’d fire him just to remove the cloud of uncertainty. But I can also see there may be reasons to keep him til the end. Given what we know it would seem easier to fire him now than to wait. That tells me there is good reason to keep him a little while longer.

He’s gone in the end either way and the hire is all that matters.

From reports/rumors that I've read, many assistants don't get along and the fracture would only deepen.

My post and yours is speculation. Is there anything tangible about it impacting a future hire though?
