You may be praising Florida but coaches aren't.... who wants to go somewhere where winning your division your first 2 years isn't enough then they try to rob your buyout by not backing you over death threats that we all know all coaches get.......may not go over as well some think. Frost seems like a guy that would be turned off by such a move
We have to hope this gets ugly in court. Hopefully, Mac's agent will hire a lawyer that will step on Florida's throat and not let them up at all. I hope this gets drawn out for a year or two.
I agree and if you have read my earlier post I've said exactly that. If this is his plan and it's playing out exactly as it's supposed to, it better be Adam good plan.

Let's take a look at what appears to have been at this point the biggest and best hires in college football and see if it tells us anything about wanting immediate closure to Jones.
For now I think these schools all are happy with the process of how they acquired there current football coaches.
Let's start with the obvious,Alabama. They didn't fire Shula until late November and ended hiring Saban after a long wait. Being early to party was far from relavant.
Washington is next. Their coach left them for USC and they were able to hire one of the best coaches in the country in Peterson. They didn't need to be early to the shopping table.
Georgia fans are in love with Smart. Well they didn't fire CMR until late November.
Michigan didn't fire Hoke until early December and got their guy.
Penn state is a great one to look at. There program was in shambles and their coach left them in late December for the NFL but they hired a rock star in
January.
Ohio state hires CUM in late November after having a full season of a an interim.
The only school I think of that fired their coach midseason and the resulting hire ended up being a home run is Clemson. However they ended up hiring Dabo as he was the interim.
So the evidence is clear to me that unless we believe we have DAbo on our staff, which is ridicules to think, there is really no benefit to firing a coach this early in the season. There is no evidence suggesting it is a good thing. In fact if you at places like USC and LSU you will see it is far from.
In closing the timing of butch being fired matters not. The only thing that matters is who is hired and the timing of that doesn't matter either, (see PSU).
everyone has an opinion about the timing of letting cbj go. That has been going on since the uf game. It isn't as if he lost support last night, that has been the case from a majority of people that matter for a long time, some as far back as '15. I see both sides of the argument for keeping him until the end of the season and gong ahead and ending it now. If it were me, i'm sending him on now. I tend to like to move on quickly if things are obviously not working. There is some thought that butch is still the best bet to get them to a bowl game and therefore have a better shot at a good job that will mitigate his buyout. That's a risk reward situation that you have to look at and see its merit. There isn't anyone on staff right now that could interim outside of rg. There are serious issues between coaches and that would just explode if anyone else were to take that role. That ties currie's hands with an interim role to a high degree. I'm of the opinion that coach fulmer could come in and help stabilize that situation with the agreement that he's only interim, don't think he would want to be a full time coach again anyway.
Everyone has kind of lined up and said if you can get gruden you try. I still am very doubtful that will happen but you have to try and that is ongoing. That said, there's been research and some limited vetting through 3rd party contact with other candidates, some of them you've heard, some you haven't. It's very likely that there won't be a hire until december and this class will have to be what it is. Money isn't going to be an obstacle for anyone with merit. There are a bunch of good options out there and it will be interesting who shows interest among those who haven't been mentioned for whatever reason. I think that there will be significant interest.
