I have 0 worries about this deal being announced, I am finally getting some information on timing (Gruden announcement) which I will not share here. You all will not have to be patient for much longer.
#EmptyNeyland isn't going to work so well on Homecoming. Too many alums are bringing their families to Neyland to share the experience and get together with old friends. There are alumni and donor events Thursday - Sunday. The seats will start to empty after halftime, but not many alums will boycott Homecoming on the Hill.
So a coupla good things from yesterday...
1. Ty Chandler had the good day I predicted and then some.
2. JG looks like he's starting to come along even though he's still getting sacked too much. He's still got a ways to go but he gets better each game which is a very good thing, imo.
3. We scored actual touchdowns. (Hey after the dry spell I'll take every little bit).
The bad is pretty obvious but the thing about that game is despite everything I think that without the BS call at the beginning, I think we win. What makes it worse is that the Cats had far more people on the field when that incident happened than we did and yet we wind up getting penalized more and losing more important players. Honestly, was that call even legal?
Then, this is what I posted as a possibility of what might be happening. This is based on what OldVol75 (who many have said they have met and is definitely connected) said last night...he said we will learn today that Butch is officially gone, and then he said something about getting a nice anniversary gift on the 31st, but also made it sound like it would not be Gruden announced as HC. Heres my conjecture...tifwiw (and laugh if you want):
OV75 made it sound like the 31st will be an important day, but wont be the announcement day for Gruden. Piecing things together, this is what Im wondering:
Apparently, the betting for the future TN HC ends at 12 on the 31st (I dont gamble, but this is what Ive read multiple times by some of you).
Im wondering if it is announced after 12 that Gruden and ESPN have agreed to mutually part ways, due to the problems ESPN is having (everyone will be wanting to bet Gruden when this happens, but it will be closed and too late).
At that point, we will start hearing about TN and Currie entering talks with Gruden (although the deal is already pretty much done).
Then, whenever Currie thinks its a good time, Gruden is announced (have no idea if thats within a few days or after the season).
This thing will have to look like a coaching search occurred. This is the most logical way, IMO. Maybe, maybe not. We will see.
Yes, I know. Me too. But its really fun to think about this happening. Ill still believe it when I see it, but its been a miserable season, so Im hoping for something great for our program.
Me too. Enjoying what people post here about Gruden. Have about 15% confidence of it bearing fruit.
Hes gonna be wrong on his first prediction and the mysterious non prediction prediction for the 31st is typical fake insider stuff.
Something is going to happen on the 31st but I cant say what. Then when it doesnt happen he will say it is delayed. Then when something happens in a week or two he can say that was the thing that was to happen on the 31st.
JMO.

That offense is exactly why he will be in Floridas searchNot only has Frost brought UCF from 0-12 to 7-0 in two seasons, the offense has gone from dead last (127th) to 1st in two years. 👀
That type of result is not one to be concerned about not working in the SEC. That, is a great coach knowing exactly how to get the best out of his team
