Just my opinion, but Mullen either goes to Florida or stays at MSU. I don't see any reason he'd pick us over them. Ultimately he gets a raise and extension to stay in Starkville.

My fear is we put all our eggs in the Gruden basket which allows Florida to get a deal with Frost when Gruden ultimately gets cold feet. I would imagine he'd pick Florida over Tennessee if it came to that anyway.

I could see this ending with Frost at Florida and Chad Morris at Tennessee.

Yeah idk. I've came to the conclusion over the years that Jimmy knows what he's talking about. My fear is, Gruden ends up turning it down again which puts us in scramble mode.

I understand doubt or disbelief, but it has nothing to do with what Hyams is reporting. The guy basically only passes along press releases.

I will not get into specifics but this year is totally different than 2012, but I get the skepticism.

For my part I put it at about 20% likelihood. I was a complete doubter last time but it seems to have more credibility this time around in terms of the timing both for us and him. I’d love it if he came. But I will not all be disappointed if he doesn’t, as long as we make a good hire.

By now he should have a pretty clear picture of what his board order is and how interested they are.

Jimmy literally breaks news all the time. He gets the scoop plenty of times and leads off his show with it.

It may not be earth shattering stuff but Jimmy is a pro. He knows Gruden isn’t happening as does Larry and every other respectable person with knowledge.
