The crowd will leave no doubt who they are pissed at. I was in Neyland when they dropped the F bomb chant vs Florida several years back. It is going to be embarrassing for Tennessee and completely the AD's fault.

He was just on the First team this morning on Sirius. I think he's about the equiv to our Hubbs. Spurrier always refers to him, so the First Team wanted to speak to him directly on the situation.

The true one. UT doesn't want to fire CBJ until the end, or near the end, of the season. There have been several windows when a valid argument arose for firing him early (after UGA, after SCAR, after UF fired Mac), and UT has stuck to the plan every time.

I don't agree. They will boo because they feel it is their God-given "right" and the players will suffer because of it.

Some surmise it's to sign a deal with Gruden. My guess is it's to get a deal in general. Currie wants to be able to hire the next guy the day after Butch is let go like Texas and VA Tech did.

Recent rumors in the FF (go figure) is no coach wants the interim job. I don’t think I buy that but maybe the coaches all see this team for what it is and realize there is no fixing it and winning out to help their own careers.

If he can get his guy lined up I can't see the flaw with that reasoning. Only short-sighted fans can.

I think the shot callers in this process have their man so it makes no difference to fire Butch now or after Vandy. Unlike florida and that is why they are expediting the process. Patience young padewans.

Yes, I'm content now that Rivals and 247 are both reporting Butch will be fired and cannot save his job no matter what. I think we all knew it but that all but confirms it.

Let him ride it out. Who cares? Currie is working behind the scenes. I don't buy for a second Gruden is the only coach we're focused on.

Keeping him longer is the path of least resistance. The chances for a good season are gone; we've already lost to all of our rivals and are going to finish near the bottom of the SEC. Can't change that now.

UT has already started due diligence and is working through intermediaries during the season. Other SEC schools are going to enter the mix soon, and then it will heat up. Texas and VT had a different landscape last year. There's going to be more competition for a small pool of names this year.

Exactly. Interim does nothing for us at this point. Let CBJ take the punches for the rest of the year and maybe scrape a few wins together. Get JG some growing pains. Let him go in December and introduce the new coach the next day. That is the way grown ups do it.

You are completely disregarding the early signing period. It's kind of a big deal.
