Depends on the timing.

Nobody thought Medley was getting booed when Butch wouldn’t go for it on 4th down last year against TTU

I think Frost is on their list, but maybe not at the top. I also think that they have a reasonably good feeling that one of their top targets is coming. IMO, it will be Kelly, Mullen or possibly Stoops. I hate it, but I think that is what will happen.

I get what you're saying, but Currie won't be judged in the end by this. He'll be judged by the hire and success of the next coach. Whenever that happens. If he believes keeping Butch in place until he can get a Gruden or Frost to commit to the position, it's on him.

Edit: also another thing that gives me great confidence Gruden or another very good coach will be the next HC is that Manning and Fulmer are heavily involved. Those guys bleed orange more than anyone and they know this hire is extremely important for the present and future of the program.

Fantasy land stuff the SEC would love is Gruden to UT and Stoops to UF. Kelly goes to MNF as Gruden's replacement. Less cost in a declining ratings environment. ESPN picks up much higher ratings with CFB and the SEC with Gruden and Stoops added to Saban and Smart. Everybody wins including fans at the schools. A B10 versus SEC rivalry series is announced.

I said "fantasy".

And this is exactly why somebody in the AD needs to say something. Our fanbase is battered and fractured, but we are united in our passion for our team.

Pat Dooley said this morning he's heard Norvell, Campbell, Frost and possibly Mullen, in that order. Tifwiw.

Pretty good synopsis. That’s why my grudometer is at 20% and won’t move. Just don’t think we’re willing to do what it takes. But, I think we’ll pay for a top level NCAA coach, and that’s exciting

Stoops is retired and it will stay that way. I could see Kelly though, otherwise they are going after a sitting coach.

No debate. UTAD is counting on the longstanding loyalty of alums and fans to fill the stadium on Homecoming.
