Recruiting Forum: UNofficial Chatanooga Pre-Game Thread

Why do we care whether we land 5 star offensive linemen?

Reading this thread it sounds like the key to winning games is coaching, scheme and play calling. You should be able to take any offensive lineman straight out of high school without any strength and conditioning and win.

5 new starters recruited by a different coach. Could it be that the previous coaches recruited a bunch of busts? I mean I hate to make the reference, but didn't Butch and co coach up 1st round pick at OL? Your argument is full of holes.

You're saying they shouldn't be able handle UTC's DL.

SMFH.

See it for what it is. Ole Miss, Bama and USCe back to back to back. Must be looking ahead. lol.

No, but all we heard all offseason from Jones was "Coleman Thomas is the most game ready freshman I've ever seen".

I'd hate to see what "unready" freshmen look like.

Offensive line? Absolutely. I loved Sam Pittman.

Our O line can't even do fundemental things correctly. I've never seen so many straight up whiffs & statue-esque offensive lineman. Our 6 guys can't even block their 4.

They had 4 legitimate NFL players on the OL. Doesn't that help?

Not what I said at all. You are blaming the coaches for our guys getting beat one on one against UTC's DL. That's foolish.

Are you serious? You're saying it isn't the coaches' job to get the OL ready for CHATTANOOGA? THAT is foolish.

Great last drive there. Really good playcalling.

Really liked rolling pocket there so Worley could throw away.

Also liked short one to Croom to put in FG range after sack.

Agree on play calling. Used the middle, rolled Worley out often to delay pressure.
