Thought we should go ahead and get this one started. Here are a couple things I hope the team works on in practice this week:
1. Play calling- this one is more about the coaches but we have to adjust to what is working. Yesterday in the Georgia game the middle of the field was open for 8-15 yards at almost any given time. We need some slants or crossing routes or something
2. Feed North, Hurd, and very hopefully Pearson. These are our 3 best offensive skill players. We need them to have the ball as often as possible.
3. Sustain drives- Our poor defense did all they could but the third quarter they were out there almost the whole quarter.
4. Protect Worley- I don't know how, but we have to do something. This team lives and dies with Worley this year. Without him we are at best maybe 5-7. With him we can be 8-4.
This is really all I have this week. Can't wait to see the vols whip dat gator @$$ this weekend!!! LETS GO VOLS!! #GBO
Something that is very important to this game is that TN starts hot early like we did against UGA.
UF isn't a great passing team and are not going to be able to run as well as UGA either. So if we get an early 10-14 point lead, get the crowd going nuts and force Driskall to force some throws it could be a great day.
Also UF is a weak minded broken team right now, they'll be content to just quit and get it over with....but if we let them get up early that Gator swag will start to creep back in and the nervous jitters in the crowd could spill over into our young team.
First 10 minutes are important.

I'm struggling because I wanna feel confident and excited that we are going to win. And part of me does feel like that. But the other part of me feels like the Fulmer curse will kick in, and we will lose somehow. Maybe something like Worley gets hurt early. So then we have a big string of three and outs. Our defense wears down. And their ground and pound gets enough production to win a low-scoring game. Sickening.
I hate thinking like this. I feel like we should win. But we have had worse luck than any other team it seems the last 5 years or so. Like fluke bad luck.

This is a trend that needs to stop. The better teams tend to get the calls but Florida is not better than us. Dave Hart needs to be on the UT plane this week giving Slive the colon foot up colon. Butch seems to be doing his part on the sidelines.
