Um. Program image is quite important, especially in recruiting. Would you genuinely say beating UF next weekend is a huge accomplishment and a game we should lose?Again, who gives a damn how desperate we look to anybody outside of our program and our fan base? Win games, have fun, **** everybody else.

We haven't beat UF in a while, but this UF team isn't that talented.
While you may not care what others think, the truth is everyone sort of does. Whether you think it's a good idea or not you do sort of care.
Also when we are good enough to make the playoffs in the near future will you not care what others think then? When the future is in THEIR hands whether we get to compete for a national championship? What about if we are in a 3-way tie for the sec east and the tiebreaker is BCS rankings? Will you not care what those BCS voters think? Eff them right?
It's not that big of a deal really, but everything matters.
I disagree. Guess this argument is over lol.Because we're really having trouble with the whole recruiting thing. And with the way things have been going, any SEC win is a thing to celebrate.
Win games.
No, I don't. My first statement of win games makes other people's perception of our program inconsequential.
Yes, eff them. Win games, the rest won't matter.
That sentence just makes my head hurt.
Anyway, this all started with a mostly tongue in cheek post about the ridiculousness of people caring about how people choose to celebrate a hypothetical victory that hasn't even happened yet. If a bunch of students want to run out of the field because we beat UF next weekend because it's ****ing fun, then have at it. They're in college, they're supposed to do crazy, stupid ****.

Beating UF should be the norm, not a rush the field moment. And IMO everything matters. From perception, to the eye test, to record, to atmosphere. Everything is relative IMO. To you, it's not and that's okay. Opinions differ
While this might be true, this fan base is about ready to explode for a big moment! Beating a team that's won 9 in a row is a big moment, no matter what they have looked like this year. They are every bit as talented as we are, just like Dooley's last team...but the coaching seems it might be a little bit of a train wreck. It also seems that Champ might be losing the confidence of his team, like Dooley. That causes division in the locker room. Poor chemistry is a bad thing.
Would it be nice to beat Florida and wait to rush the field when we upset Bama? Absolutely! But we aren't guaranteed that happens. If we beat Florida, it might be the only big moment chance we have this year to unleash our frustrations. Just saying...but understand your viewpoint as well.
I just want to win!!! Don't care what happens afterwards!
We don't need to rush the field versus Bama dude. We are Tennessee not damn Kentucky
Whatever BB. Be a little bit realistic as to where this program has been and what it has gone through. Should we expect to beat the Bamas and Floridas? 10 to 15 years ago, the answer would be absolutely! For the past 10 years, especially the last five years, this program has gone through the crapper to the point that beating those teams has not been an expectation but a hope. It is just where this program has been and is currently And that is a fact! Upsetting Bama in Neyland, no matter if you want to admit it or not, would be a monumental win and huge stepping stone for our program. And it would be deserving of our Fanbase rushing the field to show our players how big it is!
Just 50k. I think the real thing to be worried about is field conditions. I'm an auburn student, and I've heard that the reason the administration let the field rush happen after the iron bowl and not get everyone off the field ASAP was because there wouldn't be anymore home games. The playing surface was absolutely trashed after it, and if they had to play a home game a week later it wouldn't have been easy to get it back into shape. Hell, the shrubs weren't completely regrown by the spring gameI agree with everything you are saying but isn't rushing the field a big no no now? Huge fines and stuff?
I disagree. Guess this argument is over lol.

So we should rush the field just because they are UF? Did Vandy rush the field when they beat us Dooley's last year?Beating UF hasn't been the norm for almost a decade though
I didn't say we should our shouldn't. Read above postSo we should rush the field just because they are UF? Did Vandy rush the field when they beat us Dooley's last year?
To me it's simple. One question. Should you even have had a chance to win (talent-wise)? If yes, rushing the field is a bad move.
Apparently others feel differently. I mean, it's not more complicated than that. We disagree. Like I said I'll be there, if it happens I will join in.
I understand that. I'm more talking in general than to who I was quoting. How fo you feel on the subject? I saw your post, but what if you were at the game.
