What???
Croom had two hands perfectly on it. You cannot throw that ball any better.
He could have caught it, as is, or even better, turned his body a bit to face the ball, but that was a perfectly thrown football.
He is seriously THe only one who thinks that. The ball turned into Gravy when it got to Croom
I'm probably the only one that thinks it because maybe I was the only one that saw the play through sober eyes. Believe what you guys want. I've been watching Worley struggle with his accuracy down the field since the spring game. And it will continue as the season wears on. The pass to Croom was no different. It's the QBs job to lead the WR to where only he can get the ball. Not throw it up and hope for the best.
I didn't remove it. I said that 1 run does not constitute 'establishing a run game. In that whole quarter, the third, that one run was the only one for greater than 1 yard. In the two quarters before that we had negative rushing yards. We had not 'established the run' we had one big 43 yder and nothing else. Then we had a pass for no gain and the pick. We hadn't established squat in the run game by the law of averages we were the blind squirrel that found a nut. Passing was our entire offense and was working. They called a pass, it failed massively. That happens, but it's not bad play calling it's bad execution.

I actually paused it by chance on the replay at a point where both players had their hands in position, crooms clearly in front, it was like the four hands were making a tunnel. It hit crooms hands and ricocheted right int OU's should pad. If he didn't have brick hands on that play, the DB would've had nothing but a good view of a beautiful completion. It's not like that was just a jump ball that Croom lost. Sanchez was behind him. He has no play on it if Croom doesn't let it go through his hands. Worley threw the ball where it needed to be, and Croom didn't make the play.
Croom should have put his back on Sanchez, but that's not on Worley. Frankly I just don't think he's athletic enough to make that kind of on-the-fly adjustment.
yes! And even when it got lopsided, they kept fighting. I was proud of and can't wait for Kentucky and Florida who both look equally bad.I'll say one other thing: despite the score, Tennessee belonged on the field with the #4 team tonight. This was a couple of plays from being a very, very interesting game.
Several times last year we could not have said that. I look forward to seeing this team continue to correct mistakes and improve, because I think they have a hell of a ceiling.

Bingo! You guys can argue all you want about Worley, INTs, and whose fault it was, but this team overcame tremendous adversity in a very hostile environment with absolutely ZERO calls coming their way from the zebras, and still almost found a way to be in the game in the 4th quarter. IMPRESSIVE IMO!! The 24 point loss is in no way indicitive of how that game was played.
IMO Worley made one bad decision all night, and also IMO, that is placed on Jake as it was a terrible call! Run the football with 2 yards and 2 plays to make it! He had better get it together, or he should be shown the door IMO! He's the weak link in this coaching staff! I am happy with all of the defensive coaches. Jancek called a great game...held that offense to 27 points with a short field most of the night, and gave up 0 points after the first possession of the 2nd half.
Spot on. We are an offensive line and a O coordinator (a little experince wouldn't hurt either) away from being really good team. Not great but good. Need a few more studs to be really good.
