I still can't believe how impressive our defense was:

3/12 on 3rd down
0/1 on 4th down (huge stop)

After OU's scripted opening drive touchdown in the second half, the Vols D gave up 75 total yards and 0 points (Our offense had 195 yards to their 150 in the second half). They had 2 drives with 1 first down, and 2 3-and-outs in their last 5 drives.

I believe this defense will keep us in every game the rest of the year.

That, more than anything, is why I continue putting money into my bowl game fund.

That D will win UT a game or 2 that isn't expected.
 
I thought we adjusted at halftime somewhat, and Hurd, in particular, did a good job pass-blocking when we kept him back there.

I agree with that. It's nice to have a staff that can and will make halftime adjustments. Part of it was OU not being as aggressive on D though.

I agree. They did adjust some and Hurd did well when asked - but the game was out of hand at that point.
