Recruiting Forum: UNofficial Oklahoma Pre-Game Thread

FWIW, the VQ guys made their predictions...

Brent Hubbs: OU- 34, UT- 14
Fortenberry: OU-37, UT-17
Brice: OU- 40, UT- 21
Lewis: OU- 38, UT- 20
Price: OU- 44, UT- 24

I agree with Rob Lewis' score....

Valuable lesson in sports... You are never as good as you think you are and never as bad as you think you are.

Valuable lesson about politicians...they are never as good as you think they are and they are actually worse than one might imagine they can be.

Hope no one else came up with this yet...

But we're gonna introduce Norman to Bates.

Sounds like Dave Hart is needed up in D.C.

Do I wish the band was going to the game? Sure.

Do I appreciate Hart trying to be financially responsible to pull the AD out of the financial mess he inherited? Absolutely 100%

You can't gripe about a man for making that decision...does anyone really believe the band would make a difference in the outcome of the game?

Thanks for this thread.

I agree with most of your analysis but think we can almost disregard the factors aside from their front seven vs. the O-line. That is the difference between a competitive game and a huge mess

I love UT Football and I really want our boys to shock the CFB world Saturday night. I know they will give their all for TN but I want a big time win for them so badly I can taste it.

Edit: That might be rum but it still tastes like victory.

They generally dont blitz or bring more than four. You can bet we will have a te on the rs of the line most of the night helping block. I also think they will chip block the ends some w rbs on downs where the te goes out for a pass.

I think we find a way to win.

Is there any logical evidence to suggest that I'm right? Well other than the long list of upsets that happen every year in all sports at every level, I suppose not.

My main reason in thinking this is simple.

We're due.

Sooners or laters the big boys get knocked off.

We're clearly on the upswing with nothing to lose but another game. I'm tired of losing. I know our seniors are tired of it. Why not us? Why not this time?

Good night and good luck.

There's a difference in being confident and being cocky. Silly of AJ to say that.

It's only football. Let AJ do AJ. Nothing wrong with a little cocky swagger. It's been too long since we've seen this kinda stuff. If we get blown out, so what, that was supposed to happen anyways.

I for one love to see the leader of our defense not backing down to anybody. We're Tennessee dammit. AJ is loose and ready to rumble. He sets the tone for our whole team. We can't back down. It's only a game and as long as we don't crumble under the bright lights (which is clearly possible being so young) we could be in for a dog fight. We need our leaders showing confidence like this to have any shot.

Oklahoma better bring their A game in my opinion. We're not gonna give them squat for free. If they want a win they're gonna have to scratch and claw and earn it one play at a time.

Let's goooo

It's GAMEDAY, boys! Let's get it, and shock the college football world! What better way to announce to the college football world that Tennessee football is back, than to go on the road and upset a top 5 team on national TV? I can't think of one. GO VOLS! #3rddownforwhat!!
