I'm more concerned about our OL play and coaching
That's my only concern. Maybe not even the coaching other than the OL coaching. I tell myself IF the OL was better, the other offensive coaches may look a lot better. CBJ IMO needs to be able to take a long hard look at the OL coaching and ask himself why do these guys not look any better today than they did in Aug. Young and no experience is tough to use as a reason IMO when they now have 1000's of reps/snaps under their belts.
Auburn's creativity on offense makes our scheme look childish. I'm not entirely buying the 'youth' argument. There doesn't seem to be any cohesion, creativity, or purpose to our offensive plan --- regardless of talent level or experience.
I tend to agree with most of you. It doesn't seem like Butch will make staff changes. Although, I'm sure he'll have a post-season 'state of the program' meeting with Dave Hart. The offseason should be very interesting for the program.
Man the atmosphere was wild. Loved it, had a great time. I'd say 70-75% UT fans, met some cool UT fans and some sweet old ladies who were Vandy fans. And some not so cool Vandy fans lol. Literally out of the blue a drunk guy turned to me and said "your LB is an effing rapist". I of course defended AJ and brought up their rape case and he went bezerk. It was funny because the Vandy women beside me said if he didn't sit down and shut up they'd get him kicked out. Anyways /coolstorybro
We played down to Vandy, but we are massacred. Our injuries are freaking crazy and it showed. Not to mention suspensions that hurt. I'm just thrilled to limp to a 6th win. We need to get healthy for a bowl and next year and we'll be fine. Honestly Mahoney does need to go IMO. He just isn't closing in recruiting and isn't coaching well at all. That being said it's great to be a Tennesssee Vol, GBFO, and I've got 3+ more hours to drive so I'll hang up and listen later.

For anyone who might be complaining (not necessarily just in this thread and feel free to share in other appropriate threads) about this team actually winning a "rivalry" game that gives Tennessee a bowl birth, when it comes to "rivalry" you can throw stats, records, talent, coaching, etc. out the window. If you don't believe me consider this
1995 TN won 12-7....Vanderbilt's record 2-9
1996 TN won 14-7...Vanderbilt's record 2-9
1997 TN won 17-10...Vanderbilt's record 3-8
2000 TN won 28-26...Vanderbilt's record 3-8
2004 TN won 38-33...Vanderbilt's record 2-9
All of this is to say that when Tennessee has been SIGNIFICANTLY better than it currently is and Vanderbilt has been similarly bad there have still been several close games (even some with a guy named Peyton playing in them). I know there have also been several blowouts, but again those were MUCH, MUCH better Tennessee teams than are presently being fielded in Knoxville. TIFWIW...

At least the extra practices will allow some guys to heal up. The sad thing for me is even with a dozen or so more practices, I doubt the OL looks any better. I suppose a bowl game may allow another team to set some sack records against this line. Maybe they can give up 50 sacks this year? :ermm:
