I hate PSU beating us worse than anything. However after we land Tuttle, Richmond and Phillips things will change. Also after our players get evaluated as the season goes on, we will have some get bumps and improve our ranking. We could wind up with a 5th or 6th ranked class.

Will Tuttle committing move us ahead of A&M? Looks like it would but I don't know the whodoo math like some.

247 - #7, 253.00
247comp - #9, 243.62

Just jumped from #9 to #7 on 247 Composite rankings, passing Auburn and Penn St.

Jumped from #7 to #5 on Rivals passing Texas A&M and Penn St.

After Taylor Commitment:
247- 5th (Within a point of 3rd)
Rivals- 5th (Within a strong commitment of 3rd/4th)
Scout- 8th (Within 4 points of 7th)

The nice thing is that except for PSU, and based purely on recent success, we don't belong in that crowd.

Coaches are getting it done on the recruiting trail. Now for the Saturdays....

Not much movement after Perry commitment. In a position to make a big jump though.

After the Abernathy commitment we are 3rd on 247 with 262.97 points. We are 1.05 behind Georgia and 3.27 above #4 South Carolina (much closer to #2 than to #3!).

Here's some fun facts gathered from twitter following the Abernathy commitment.

**Abernathy commitment gives us our 5th Under Armour All American this year (Abernathy, Shy Tuttle, Preston Williams, Andrew Butcher and Jack Jones)

**We now have 3 of the top 10 players from the Greater Atlanta Area and 7 recruits from the state of Georgia

**Abernathy is our 8th commit in the ESPN300

**In the '14/'15 classes, we now have 19 ESPN300 commits. Of the 11 signed last year 9 have already played this season.

According to 247's own points system (the non-composite) we are 5 points behind South Carolina in third.

1. Bama - 289
2. USC - 276
3. Tenn - 271

Last year we finished 7th in 247's team ranking with 283 points. For perspective, with 271 points we would finish 9th in 2014, 9th in 2013, 7th in 2012, 9th again in 2011, and 5th for 2010. Almost a sure lock for a top 10 finish at this point.
