Recruiting the SEC to Orange

Great info all around my friend, absolutely fantastic. I'm from the Memphis area and I have been just disgusted with the hate that I have seen given towards my city and county on this board, and I can tell you from my personal experience and from talking with prospects on a daily basis that UT (volnation, really) has done ourselves no favors in this area. Players actually hold Tennessee in CONTEMPT in a lot of cases here simply because of our fan bases attitude towards our city, and in case you didn't know, players do read the boards in order to gather information regarding each school's fan base. I would like to see a graph of each area's talent levels, and who the dominant schools in each area are. I know as far as when I was in the recruiting process, Ole Miss and Arkansas were both extremely popular choices.

Also, could I get a track on talent coming out of Desoto County, MS? Olive Branch High School is becoming a DOMINANT football team, and the 3rd fastest growing county in America is getting a lot of talent developing up. This county could also be categorized as Memphis area, being that 65% of Desoto county people work in Memphis, or moved from Memphis. Believe me, the lack of love for Memphis transfers to here as well.

LV109, in the 80's pre-VN the town of Memphis was not exactly enamored with UT.

The attitude of those outside Memphis might not be building any bridges, but it is a long standing issue.

Dude, sorry if all the hate for Memphis gets back to the area recruits. But Memphis is what it is. I married my wife there, we had our 2 kids there..... and we escaped from there 13 years ago after, among many other things, I nearly had my family abducted in a botched gang initiation. I could go for awhile, but I'll stop there. So, I hear you, but too many people I know have the same impression of Memphis. That being said, I would hope a kid, such as Jason Carr, would look at the coaching staff, the tradition, the facilities, the university, the vision to get back on top, rather than a message board, to make a life changing decision. Surely people in Miss, Ark , etc recognize what Mphs is and comment on Memphis similarly. Hard for me to believe they don't. Respectfully submitted.
