kasey hill is the guard

Thanks! You guys got a very special player. I as super impressed with this kid. Did you catch any of the AAU tournament? I don't remember who was showing it but he sure did impress ppl. Also, is he more of a shooter or do you seem him playing the point?

BTO that class of 4 with Crawford would be wonderful. If Stokes were to go pro that would open up an extra schollie in the spring and I am sure CCM and staff would recruit another big. JMO

If we land a majority of those kids, I don't think we have to worry about space moving forward. Pretty sure CCM had to field a competitive team and those were the best options. If we have a breakout year like we should and we land those guys, (no offense to current players) but I'd imagine a few would look elsewhere.

Galilee really thinks Jw3 is a vol, I feel very good about Nichols and Hubbs, especially with the latest developments. The bad news being Galilee really gives UT no shot with king, not much of a surprise though.

So a very real possibility of a hubbs, jw3, and Nichols class. If this happens and we only can bring four, rob Lewis has brought up its possible we will take Crawford and part with Landry. Even though Crawford isn't a true PG, he's a CCM type of player and CCM apparently really likes him.

A class of Crawford, hubbs, jw3 and Nichols is scary talented and full of Memphis ties.

My google is failing me... who is this Galilee person?

3 top 50's and 1 top 100, sign me up. Two things do slightly concern me though with that class...1. No real big, and we're gonna be thin in that department and 2. No true backup to Golden, so hopefully Moore or Richardson emerges if that's the class we get.

Very good point. There's always JUCO.

Yea but if youre parting with Landry to make room for Crawford, then who are you parting with for a juco? You may as well keep Landry at that point if you're going to part with someone currently on the roster and just bring in 5.

My bad, I was thinking about '14 when I posted that. Yeah, with those 4, I wouldn't expect any more signees.

Oh ok gotcha. Yea my only fear with bringing in Crawford hubbs jw3 and Nichols while parting with landry is...-we will be thin in the post (yemi and stokes) and 2. We won't have a legitimate backup PG, but then again I guess that's the boat were in right now, so maybe Moore or Richardson emerges and we don't have to worry about it as much.

Then again, with no backup next year to learn behind golden, that also means well be relying on a true freshman PG to run it in 14' when golden is gone.

Ideally IMO, you bring in those 4 and also a PG whether it be Landry or Newkirk. Then part with someone at the end of the year, whether it be Q or Reese, those seem like the 2 most likely candidates. If you can't land Crawford and/or Jw3 then I'd like to see a PG still, and a true big (Rimmer, Agau, Thompson, Ringer)

My ideal right now is...Landry or Newkirk, hubbs, jw3, Nichols and a BIG. Then parting with one of the current scholarship players. If you want to add Crawford to that list, bringing in 6 and parting with 2, then that works also, but I really think we need to bring in a PG and a true BIG in this class.

I Googled jw3. Martin is way off recruiting a marching band supply company or pastor Jasper Williams III.

Honestly, I think Moore is going to be the backup PG, and staff is going to go really hard at JaQuel Richmond for 2014.

I wouldn't mind somehow opening up a scholly (My guess would be one of the Reese/Cheivous combo if they find the bench) and get a true center.

That's the good news also. Either A) You keep Stokes, who is a fine player, and have two centers in him and Yemi. B) He goes pro, which means most likely an excellent year, and you open up a scholly for a center.

Win-Win.

The question I have for VN:

If you only had one scholly and could only take one, would you take King or JW3?

That's my hope, that'd be ideal. Drop Landry, Moore emerges as a solid backup, take Crawford hubbs jw3 and Nichols, and a scholly opens up for a true big...that's probably the perfect scenario.

I don't think it's even a question, you take king. However, if both want to be here, you make room for both, no matter who you have to part with.

I'm probably the only one, but if the staff kept Landry instead of taking Crawford I'd be okay with that. I don't know if they will or not though.

I agree, but I figured with our lack of depth in the post, it would be an interesting question.

I'd definitely be OK with it, and getting a big instead if you have that extra scholly. I just think if you Moore proves himself as a sold backup, then you jump at the opportunity to land an elite player like Crawford. Then in 14' like you said try to bring or Richmond or even lyles, and then you have then starting and Moore still as a solid backup.
