How good are Jonathon Williams,Nick King and Robert Hubbs? What are UT's chances for them? Has anyone seen them play? How good is Jalen Lindsey from CPA?

All three are excellent players. King is elite, Williams is elite, and Hubbs is rising every day up the charts.

With King, we are right in it. I don't think our chances with Williams is high, and while we are not on Hubbs, we are trying really hard to get a visit from him.

I haven't seen Lindsey play, but from all reports, he, along with LaRon Black, will be the #1 player in the state next year and someone we are interested in.

Who is this?

Lindsey had a very impressive Arby's Classic in Bristol I was told. Didn't personally get to see him play though.

Wow! #1 in Tennessee!!?!? OMG!!! Wait...basketball??? Oh yeah...nevermind.

Jk

Tennessee actually produces a pretty good amount of basketball talent every year, and it's not all from Memphis. Unlike football, UT could be a national power in basketball by getting the state's best players every year. Jerry Green's four NCAAT teams were almost exclusively built on in-state talent.

You are hopeless kid. Tennessee produces more D1 instate talent than Kentucky, which is ironic considering the basketball-crazed nature of the state.

By the way, adding a token "jk" at the end won't save face to those of us familiar with your antics.

Would you still be talking **** if a couple more shots fell our way ?

I hope you aren't trying to say that TN doesn't churn out basketball talent. That would make you look very stupid.

There's the goodwill message of maturity I expected from your pubescent 15 year old mind. Do you not understand why unsolicited comments like yours are unwelcome? Show some grace and humility as a guest of another teams' forum, and don't act surprised when met with animosity after some of your notorious condescending comments.

If you ignore this advice, you deserve any criticism that comes your way.

I agree. I think King could be a great pick up.

And just to add...I know KY doesnt produce a lot of talent. Miller is one of the only players that played hs in KY.

Agree. But King would be a miracle. Like I said before, it doesn't hurt that him and Stokes played on the same AAU team. As long as CJP continues his flop act at Memphis and he wants to stay closer to home, we got a huge chance in getting him. A couple of sites show Kentucky interest and Rivals doesn't so I'm sure he's not priority but would be hard to see him turning down a Cal offer if it happens. And it's impossible to see what happens in Chapel Hill. They could have a ton of guys declare as well too.

Should be interesting but it sure would be nice if everything worked out and we ended up getting him. He's impressive!

The 2013 class has the potential to be a huge impact class here. With Landry already signed and his stock rising we can focus our attention on those in state guys. We could have an amazing class with all the guys that ccm is in on.

LOL, you'd think Pastner was the one who's 8-9 right now.

But seriously, Cal and Pastner are both pushing hard for Nick King right now. He wants to stay close to home but I'd be surprised if he doesn't fall to UK, all things considered.

I haven't heard much about JW3 recently, but from some reports, UT has a decent shot at landing him.

Hubbs is an interesting case. Florida, UT and Memphis are in on him and people around Dyer Co. HS say he's highest on the Tigers. I'm wondering if he'll actually be a high-major talent at the end of next season. If he is, Memphis will offer.

Another to keep your eyes on in 2013 is Jajuan Johnson from Southwind. 6'4" swing man will most likely climb in the rankings before his senior year.

Lindsey is going to be interesting as well. It's early, but he seems like a protypical Kevin Stallings recruit to me. ZJCvols would be licking his chops over this one though, I heard he's got big feet and is expected to grow another half-foot or so before he's in college.

Not hating on Memphis but with all the talent, one can speculate I guess.

I got it backwards I guess. I figured JW3 to Kentucky but it's impossible to see who Kentucky goes after because it's all about who declares. I've read a few things showing Roy Williams has a lot of interest in Nick King too. Like I said, would be a miracle if we could land this kid but I want him more than any other.

Well seeing as how pastier is doing jack $hit with consecutive top 5 classes and cal is making it to elite 8 and final fours I would say the consensus is partner is under achieving big time an that's not even a debate. Tennessee is about at the point record wise exactly where everyone thought they would be, and playing better than most thought. Im pretty sure what, 9-7 is not what memphis fans had in mind.

As far as the growin thing give it a rest. I actually read an article on stokes and he was talking about his last trip to the doctor they told him there is a good chance of him growing a couple inches in the next year or so.
