yea well chances are that they'd go lossless next year but yeah...i think its great to have 2 great personalities at the coaching helm at both programs...plus it makes sports radio fun

I like how they said UT would not get a pod close to Knoxville. As if Lexington is so far away. 4-seed = Lexington, unless they send Ohio State and Memphis, who would both be seeded higher, to Lexington instead. That's the current projection, but with UT as a 5. The committee seems to love storylines. Lofton + Lexington = great storyline.

i gotta feeling they'll send memphis w/ the cards of louisville

Again, I could care less about the Tigers or their fans. Gods gift to bball does not go 20+ years without a final 4 appearance. Memphis does not care about UT sports either.

TN would be better off if Mississippi would annex that city.

Yeah, I've often said that they don't belong....kinda' half Arkansas, half mississippi....with louisiana corruption sprinkles on top.

Memphis is nothing more than a glorified mid-major...that conference is pathetic in comparison to the MVC.

its not their fault is it?

I'm not placing blame on anyone...just pointing out that they play in a horrible conference.

They've been no more impressive than SIU or Winthrop...yet they want to be treated as one of the nation's elite programs.

Please explain where I have made any errors and why I should give a flip about Tiger High. I make 2 trips to Memphis a year and only 1 is by choice. The best part of that town is seeing the sign "Leaving Shelby County".

Yeah, why does the state of Tennessee need Memphis? What interest does Tennessee have in cultural and ethnic diversity? We should just let Trashville represent our values. They have both kinds of music, Country and Western.

And Memphis is representative of TN values? The gov't in that town would make DC lobbyists blush.

Nothing against cultural and ethnic diversity....just crime addled, flat, muddy, delta towns. Heck, if THEY liked cultural and ethnic diversity Germantown and Cordova would'nt exist. Don't pull ethnic "high ground" using the hometown of Nathan Bedford Forrest. Besides, everytime Memphis and sports are in the same sentence it invaribly pisses me off (whether it's their stupid, living in the past bball fans, cheating Bamma "boosters", or poor calls on a football field)

SIU and Winthop were in the Elite Eight last year? They had two guys drafted in the first 20 picks of the NBA draft? Yeah, those programs are equivalent to Memphis, in exactly the same way that Norris Lake and a backyard pool are equivalent to the Atlantic Ocean.

Wow, they went to the Elite eight. They have sustained tourney success of epic proportions as of late. Do us a favor and give us a run down of the past ten years of the Tigers tourney resume.

I'll do that right after you back up your blather about Cal's lax discipline with those tricky little things called facts. Right off the top of my head, I can tell you this: Memphis won 3 more NCAA tournament games last season than Winthrop has in the history of their school. Alabama fans should venerate an Elite Eight appearance. You guys have, what, one in your entire history?

We aren't the mighty Tigers either. How well did the Tigers do the year before last in the Dance, oh wait, they didn't go. Guess Louisville was good for something.

Also, why would seasons coached by Tic Price and/or Johnnie Jones be relevant to what Cal has or has not built at Memphis? Oh, that's right. You're an Alabama fan, you guy live your whole lives in the past.

I don't claim we are the Nations Elite, we are a good b-ball team, but it stops there. Give us a run down of Cal's tourney resume with Memphis then.

As I said, you'll get it when you provide something that resembles backup for your slanderous allegation of lax discipline.
