The thing that that the owners don't understand is that the people that pay for them to play games is going to go away. I quit watching when they took a knee, the ones that are left are going to quit when they start putting slogans on their backs denigrating white people. You get what you ask for.

Yea I stopped watching years ago. I still would watch the Super Bowl kind of like it was just a holiday type thing to do. Done with it now. There is some truth in the idea that sports is used an escape from the world.

They'll lose some fans but not many, NFL is too popular.

It will be interesting if we do end up going without football this fall. How many diehards, never miss a game types will find another hobby or simply learn they can live without the sport.
I've thought about this as well. I just hope it doesn't contribute to more restlessness and utter nonsense, but I'm not hopeful. This crisis has proven that we "need" diversion.

Yeah..Football weekends have been a fall tradition with my family and I for well over 30 years. Guess I'll just read more books or something. Gonna miss all those wings and beer though.

The longer the masses do not have their modern gladiator combat the more rambunctious they will become.

So far the only sports impact for me is missing hockey but once the Preds are done I just casually watch and sitting on my deck watching baseball. Love to watch baseball both college and MLB but I don't plan around baseball games. I plan my fall Saturdays around the Vols so if no CFB is played it will be a different world.
