Reece Davis wants Oregon

Oregon will drop 1 of the next 3 I think. I live in Oregon( job put me out here)
They play Washington this week. That is Oregons version of our Alabama. Then they play Utah at Utah and that will not be easy. They end with a ranked and sneaky good Oregon St. team. So they drop one I just don’t know which one. I think Utah

Agree my Ducks have 3 difficult games coming up. Just one correction, the Utah game is at Autzen.

Stupid all around.

UT wins out strong… then
GA smashes Ole Miss or LSU In SEC Championship.

Top 2 SEC teams?

UGA & UT

Two SEC teams WILL go to the playoffs. Why won’t UT be one of them?

UT makes playoffs. It only gets complicated if TCU destroys Texas

We are going to get screwed
Even if we do and go on to a Sugar Bowl, is that really such a bad outcome from where the program was and being 7-6 last year? We’d get lined up against Clemson or somebody similar and stomp them. Go to the playoffs and you’re likely a 4 seed facing another game versus Georgia where you look like Kentucky again. Strategically, the better long-term play might be being left out of the playoffs.

Think of Reece Davis… think of Chris Fowler… try to separate their faces. It’s hard. Stylized bobblehead card readers. They are exactly what brain numb people want therefore they exist on ESPN.

Funny thing is that OSU, Michigan, Oregon, USC and TCU would all get woodshedded by Ga. Tenn would bulldozer them teams also. PAC12 is soooo weak. Utah is the only PAC12 team that could maybe stay within two scores because they actually have a defense.

No way I can possibly see a 1 loss Oregon team in over a 1 loss vol team. We loss to a GA team at home by 14(ugh still hearin it from dawg fans) when the loss at a neutral site to the dawgs by by 46. UT sos and quality of wins is head and shoulders above anything the Pac12 has going for them.

Exactly. When you look at things from that perspective, Oregon is the obvious choice. They want no part of multiple SEC teams in the playoffs. Our only hope is that Oregon and TCU lose again. If it's close enough that the pundits and committee can justify anyone other than UT, that's exactly what's going to happen.
Michigan or Ohio st one has to lose. Tcu is the only other team we need to lose.

We're getting screwed.

Committee wants a Pac 12 team just like they were "influenced" to put in freaking Cinncinnati last year.

Its obvious they want TCU with their voting last night. If they win out, "We're getting screwed."

Next in line is Big 10. The SEC has placed 2 teams in the PO many many times and the Big 10 never.

If OSU and MI play a close game............"We're getting screwed."

LSU beats Georgia in the SECCG..........."We ARE SCREWED."

Not to fear. Oregon Will lose one, if not regular season, in the Pac10 champ game. (Pressure) AND Tcu will lose one, OR 2. TENNESSEE just needs to take care of business!!

Unfortunately, we are in the uncomfortable position of pulling for Georgia to win out. Them getting beat in the SEC Champ game is the only thing I see that keeps us out of the playoffs. If we take care of our business, we'll be in as the best 1 loss team, only losing to far and away top rated Georgia. Winner of OS/UM is in, and if TCU keeps winning, they could be in as well.
I think the chances of us losing to MO or USCe are greater than the chances that UGA loses a game before the playoffs. So if we win out we have done all we can do. So while we don’t fully control our destiny we need to make sure we shake off that Dog juju and finish strong.

No, bit they do have influence
ESPN owns the college playoff and I have little doubt that potential TV ratings would be considered in a close situation.

Regardless, we really only need to win out, have Georgia win out, and TCU to lose. A blowout OSU or Michigan win may be needed as well since I could see these same people try to push for two Big Ten teams if that game is close.

One loss PAC12 champion gets in over UT.

One loss ACC champion gets in over UT.

Sorry, but those are the facts. Need a few teams to lose these next few weeks. UT looked bad against Georgia. It was never really close.

My biggest pet peeve on here is when people say things that aren't true or it's just their opinion and their like "those are the facts" or "I'm just being realistic".

Nah dude... those aren't facts. :) The "fact" is everyone on the CFP show last night said the ACC was done unless they get a lot of help. PAC12 is a different story. That conference has a pulse... I share your opinion that a one loss PAC12 champion will jump Tennessee in the final rankings. We'll see if the playoff committee has the same opinion.

All we really need, in my opinion, is for TCU to lose and the committee to do the right thing by dropping the OSU/Michigan loser below us.

We also have to worry about USC & UCLA... he winner of the USC vs UCLA game (top 10 matchup) will likely go on to play Oregon or Utah in the PAC 12 Championship... Anyone who escapes all that with 1 loss and a conference championship deserves a spot, IMO.

I think the way this thing is going to shake out is you're going to have 3 conference champions and an at-large. The question becomes is the at-large team going to be Tennessee or Michigan/OSU? But if TCU runs the table they are in and there's no room for an at-large.

Reece Davis was on Feinbaum yesterday discussing CFP. He stated emphatically that Oregon should be in the mix as the Georgia/TN beat down was every bit the same beat down as GA 49-3 over Oregon?!?! That was on a neutral field. ESPN is dying to have west coast representation. Ridiculous stmt

ESPN hates the PAC 12 and is heavily invested in the SEC’s success. Currently the SEC has the highest ranked undefeated team, 1 loss team, and 2 loss team.

A one loss ACC team isn’t getting in ahead of UT, assuming we win out.
