Nope. He never did. But Coach Brewster made sure we knew his history. I’ve looked it up in recent years with the advent of the webs. Really pissed off the GT faithful. Dodd refused to play them again. Chick was one smooth cucumber.

Here’s the way I look at it:

Their offense is their strength and it’s a good one; ours is better. Our pitching is not just better, it’s opposite ends of the spectrum. Our defense is 7th in the nation; they’re 165th.

VT is the best pitching staff they faced in terms of ERA, and they’re 23rd in the nation and surrender 1.7 more runs per game than we do; that easily can make a difference in a W & L.

I’d be more concerned with Campbell than GT. I don’t think we’ll even see GT

Based on RPI, NC State and Wofford should've gotten in over Ole Miss and Grand Canyon. People talking about Ole Miss getting in but Grand Canyon was I think #50 in RPI -- by far the lowest of the last four teams in.

Did anyone notice that Mike Buddie said Ole Miss had a victory over Tennessee while explaining why they were included?
