Regional Play bergins

Yep the pitcher had to cover 1st since the 1st baseman had to field (E-3) off the bat, I guess the SS should have run home to cover. Weird play.

.

No one to blame on this one. First baseman went far to his right and deep to make the play and the pitcher was covering first. No one could get there. You could blame the catcher for throwing the ball too soon on the rundown. Also, the runner had a great opportunity to run into the catcher as he turned around and he would have been awarded the plate for interference.

Great game. Two teams fighting hard for the next round.

Per twitter activity, the administration at LSU is PISSED by the NCAA decision to play their next game at noon today rather than start it at 10:30 pm last night as what was seemingly previously agreed.

Moving it to the next day takes away the "competitive advantage"

Agreed BUT don't get on twitter and sound like a jackarse doing it. You're the #1 or #2 team in the nation playing at home in the most hostile stadium in America - even at noon on a Monday.
You'll pull through, suck it up. Be a good host. It's no the NCAA or your opponents' faults your weather sucked.

Their advantage is negated by the decision (I agree, not that it will likely matter though) and the decision doesn't fall in line with the "rules". I think that's what pisses him off the most. If the rule states can't start after 11 but they were ready to go at 10:15 then why was the call made to postpone it?

I'm a Columbia fan today. I'd love to see Miami get eliminated.

Grew up despising Vandy in all things, but I admire what Corbin has done there.

Swanson and Fulmer are once in a generation....wishing the Dores well in the Super Regional!

Gag.

Swanson and fulmer aren't one in a generation there. Hell they have 2 like them nearly every year. Just different names

Looking like the ACC and SEC will have around 10/16 of the super regional teams..Big10 has Illinois and possibly Maryland...PAC12 could have 2 with UCLA and Cal..BIG12 could get one with TCU

Dallas Baptist may have been the most over-rated team in the regionals...........how their RPI was so high was mind boggling!

After seeing the regionals I thought UC Santa Barbara was as well. They lasted like two games.

Vandy's baseball team scored more against Radford than VU's football team would score against Radford's football team....if they had one.

Was able to watch a lot of all 3 A&M vs Cal games and wow

Hats off to both teams and it's a damn shame Cal sees their season end with that kind of effort

Pleasure watching those 2 team efforts

Flexing the strength of the league. Won't surprise me to see 4 of those make the CWS

if UCLA doesn't beat Maryland, then the PAC-12 won't have a single team in the SR..I think they pull it out though

might as well..there isn't another game if they lose

I am very torn on that. He is a very high draft. I shutter to think how much $ is on the line if something went wrong pushing theses kids more than they are conditioned for
