Regional Play bergins

TCU scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 8th after they had 2 outs still batting down 8-7 to NC State

Unreal awful balk call. Disgraceful

I actually missed that. I've been trying to get an internet connection but when the UCLA game came on TV, they stopped showing TCU...I turned the power off on everything, the next thing I know TCU is back in it...what happened?

That a way UCLA to show them lowly Yankees that baseball can only be played down south. That pitching depth finally showed up once we got past day 1 of the tourney!!

Maybe the damn yanks will be willing to travel south to play some roads game now.

ESPN played the Reggie Miller card all night long, only fitting that his nephew K's looking and Maryland beats UCLA.

Is there any reason why we've never made a run at Tim Corbin?

LSU threw a lot of money at him last time they had an opening. He ain't leaving Vandy.

FWIW: Hamilton did get advice from Corbin after firing Delmonico. Corbin highly recommended Raleigh. Sure appreciate him for that.

Jack Leggett who once coached at WNC also highly recommended Raleigh to the higher ups at UT........Raleigh played under Leggett at WNC

@aaronfitt: BREAKING: Just learned that #Clemson will part ways with longtime coach Jack Leggett, one of the most accomplished coaches in the sport.

There u go frye

They are now free to grab Todd Raleigh.

They (meaning fans) think they have a shot at O'Sullivan and Corbin due to their Clemson ties under Leggett. Clemson's a solid program but they're delusional thinking either one of those guys are leaving for there.

Same will happen here when the time comes.

The only way to lure a big time coach is to make them an offer they can't refuse. I don't think Clemson can compete with UF in that category and likely can't compete with Vandy either. And the ties to Leggett hurt them more so, no one wants to follow their fired mentor.

I would agree that's the only chance, but there's a value to be placed on both of their current situations and I'm not sure there's any amount of money they would take to leave programs that are rolling. And if there was, neither we nor Clemson would pay it to a baseball coach.

From D1 Baseball concerning Corbin and O'Sullivan

Vanderbilt’s Tim Corbin and Florida’s Kevin O’Sullivan

Notice they weren’t on our list of primary candidates? We have very good intel on both of those guys, and all indications point to Corbin and O’Sullivan clearly staying put at their current jobs, especially Corbin, where he has an absolute gold mine of a situation at Vanderbilt. But even with that intel, it makes to include these guys in the “other” category.

Funny how they reference Vandy to a gold mine, whoever thinks they don't have an unfair advantage is delusional........I'm not implying that no one can compete but you have to admit they have a nice thing going on over there.

Your point about their current situations is what I was alluding to in my initial post about their fanbase being delusional. Historical tradition aside, UF is a top 5 job, Clemson is not. Right now Vandy is a top 10 job from a program standpoint, Clemson is not.

Meanwhile, my other alma mater WKU, hired John Pawslowski today which is a solid hire for a mid-major program of our stature. He built the CofC program into a regional program year in and year out. I was surprised he wasn't able to have more sustained success at Auburn.

What they're able to do has been explained, what hasn't been explained is why they, as a private school, can do it and public schools can't.
