Relax people

Everyone needs to step back and relax for a moment.

Go back you look at the exact same posts, the exact same "_____needs to be fired" the we are gonna suck posts when almost the entire secondary left last year. They were replaced with better players and the unit much improved.

Sucks when promising players leave, but it was just that "promising" not proven. Maybe practice habits, weight room habits, film study, blocking, or something of the such caused these promising players to not get on the field. We will never know for sure because we are not there in the room.

None of the production that has left cannot be replaced easily. Our guys in the portal are not going to Oregon, OSU, Georgia or any other top team. They are going to Appy State, Maryland, Miss State, Vandy.
Arkansas beat us with two of ‘em this year.

Maybe. We will never know since we are not there, we can only speculate.

I would imagine all the coaches have told the OL to knock off the false starts, if the player still does it, it is on the coaches or the player?

Some players are not coachable, you would not know that until they got here

You have to look for the root cause. When you rush to the line and have guys sit in their stance forever so you can try to call a play for the qb not to commit a disaster all while the defense knows what you’re going to run you’re going to have a few of those presnap penalties. We may as well huddle up if the qb prevents you from running the offense as intended.

Yeah, our coaching staff seems to be asleep at the wheel while we lose key pieces of next year's team as we come off an embarrassing loss on National TV. TN fans should be anything but relaxed right now.
You realize the elite teams are still playing, which means their players have not entered the portal yet relax

Don't forget Colorado.

When tape on Lagway can be studied, he won't be as effective. Don't be so negative.

Did you think our secondary would be this improved this time last year?
For real. When you look at Lagway's numbers he didn't even do that great. People are just crediting him with being the difference in Florida winning or losing despite them playing great defense, and Nico is getting no credit for winning, only for not scoring as much as people want him to.

Exactly....I think he is not as good as people are giving him credit for. They do play @lsu, @Miami, @ A&M, @ Ole Miss, and Georgia in jax....lot tougher than this year with the road games. They also play us and Texas in Gainesville.

Aaron Rodgers would give this thread title two thumbs up.

The new college NIL norm is going to be torture on fans that do not understand negotiation tactics.

I might be in the minority but I like the NIL. Like everything, there will be adjustments applied but overall I like it.
It’s just out of control right now. The portal is a work in progress. The schools need to have contracts with the players just like the NFL. I’m sure they are working on it, but it is too much like the wild West right now. We went from one extreme to the next. The inmates are running the asylum. It’ll all work out. It has to. There is too much money at risk.

Sky ain’t falling but it’s not the roses and rainbows you want it to be either. Take a good look at our roster. It’s highly unlikely that we pull so heavily from the portal that everything is fixed. We have about 0 skill position players at this point. Depth will be an issue….again. The term “where there’s smoke there is fire” is usually correct. Probably something to the wide receiver room problems. As in coaching.

With our 2025 limit of 83, alost half of them are Freshman and redshirt Freshman players. Our roster will be more talented, but very inexperienced.

One of the Rose Bowl commentators just said that this year's Ohio State team was considered by some as the most talented team in OSU history. Hmm. We had a really bad day against their best ever players, having their best day of the season.

I'm good with where we are and the outlook for the future, but I get your point. Many need to "cool their jets"...

Lagway faced a very difficult schedule with an undermanned team that could have gone sideways. Also is a true freshman.

Nico benefited from the easiest schedule we have possibly ever seen or ever will see again, and he was an early enrollee who had played more snaps before this season than Tee Martin had to start off the 1998 season.

I can't relax. We got skull dragged by OSU during a game where the players seemed disinterested, and coaches had no game plan on either side of the ball. Now our remaining talent is hitting the portal. Will be lucky to win any conference games next year if we don't get some new players from the portal.
If it makes you feel any better #1 Oregon getting skull dragged worse by OSU than we did.
