Why must people try to find something that isn't there when the answer is blatantly obvious? Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 shackles like the prophets said he would. He then realized what he did and hung himself in shame. Its quite simple

It all depends on what you believe I guess, for instance if you believe the Bible was meant to be read as a history book then I would see your point. I see the Bible as part history, part morality play (authentic in my view), and any number of other subjects such as philosophy intertwined. I believe it is meant to be read with an inquisitive mind and in many cases I do believe there is hidden meaning and teachings too often glanced over by those who study it seeking only answers. The Bible invokes as many questions as it does answers IMO. The challenge in my view is to find the answers to the questions asked even though they are not spelled out word for word but are found with critical thinking.
why throw your buddies image under the bus for eternity>?

All of this is not different to any other religious text. People will find answers, lessons, and teachings where they see fit in the text.
The person is the deciding factor in each case, the text is almost inconsequential. While the actual text is a guide, it is the person interpreting and deciding what is useful, worthless, real, and allegory.
I guess I see it in a different view. Jesus knows every thing that will ever occur. He knew Judas would force his hand in the garden. Jesus called him on it, don't you think Judas played an important part in the prophecy of the messiah coming to earth to die for our sins?
Then who is Jesus if he is not the son of god?
The biggest con artest the world has evern known?
jesus' death was inevitable no? judas simply sped up the process.
who says jesus said he was the son of god? we've seen many examples of great men and women dying only to have their followers flat out make things up to raise them above human.
I'm just not always looking to be controversial. In this instance, its pretty cut and dried. Knowing anything else about the man and trying to label him as a martyr is inconsequential and asinine

He was on a timeline......
You'll have to point out someone on the level of Jesus. The only other person I would be able to point out is Muhammad.
