Guns are used for sport and recreation. Hell shooting is in the Olympics. Far more paper, steel, and clay take bullets than anything living. Some people just like to collect guns as a hobby.

There’s paint ball guns , water guns , cap guns , flare guns , potato guns , ink guns , those flying disk shooting guns from the 70s

Who in particular? Again, we are talking about poor or evil decisions made by individuals. Blame the parents? The poisonous death culture we have?
I was talking about the people who support the proliferation of guns.
But that certainly encompasses most in the categories you named.

How did we get all the way into page 2 without comments on what the seated people are holding! From left to right we’ve got an M-60, an Uzi, and a Thompson! Nice group of toys!

Exactly! I would LOVE to have a Thompson. My dream SMG....a real one of course.

Some of you are absolutely mental where firearms are concerned. This photo is no more offensive WRT to the school shooting as someone posing in front of their SUV is to the Christmas Parade attack.
Here's a take for you, this photo is thoughtful encouragement to the thousands who defended life and property via their firearms this year.

Other than kill, seriously injure, or deter, I have trouble thinking of anything. And this is coming from someone who likes them.
I hope this is satire.

False equivalence.

A car is made primarily for transportation. Guns have a single purpose.

I do agree that any outage on the subject at have is overboard, though.
Neither guns nor cars kill people. People do. Also, guns have multiple purposes, so that’s wrong as well.

You could take this overly simplistic view and apply it to anything since the industrial revolution. With this mindset we shouldnt be trusted with fire.

Religiously, it's disrespectful to the holiday. Let's celebrate the birth of Christ by brandishing firearms!

Don't come to our place on Christmas. Everyone gets one.
I just do as the word tells me.
Luke 22:36
he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

False equivalence.

I have to 100% disagree. I did 4-H when I was in school, later on Clay shooting, Western lever action sport, Restored WW1 & 2 era firearms. In my 24+ years pidding with guns the one thing I have never done with one is the thing you say the only purpose is. I have seen you post a bunch on here, you know that's a load of BS.

Well that all just depends on what you are willing to get offended about.

Rep. Thomas Massie posts family gun photo for Christmas, asks Santa for ammo days after school shooting in Michigan - CNN

Just incredibly wrong to post that photo. Hope even the gun folks here see his post as utterly tasteless.
This guy's purpose is twofold and it accomplishes both objectives. It's a plea for attention by an obscure member of the House minority, while also pandering to the Republican Party base.

"Hey, look at me! I'm trolling the libs."

It would be best for democrats/liberals to ignore it, but we never do... so the guy gets what he wants.
