Republican Lies About Keystone Pipeline

You and others can evade the arguments I've made by replying with personal ridicule, all you want. Individuals who make decisions based on vacuous remarks might appreciate your posts more than mine. I can't fix people like that and have no intention of trying. I post for folks who want to read true information about the issue, with valid arguments and conclusions. You say I haven't done that. Well, your saying that doesn't change the fact that I have. So I remain content for people out there to read both our posts and make their own judgments.

My judgment is that you have no idea what you are talking about.

no, he's a history major at UT and has meticulous research habits

So according to you, this issue is all about me. I didn't know that. Oh wait; if the issue is all about me, does that mean that we can't talk about all of the lies Republicans tell about Keystone Pipeline?

Certainly a part of this issue is your claiming the high ground on an issue based upon your dubious research.

I didn't say anything about any high ground. I just introduced myself a bit, and you tried to make something bad out of it instead of taking things like they are. If my information is wrong, then it should be easy enough for you to disprove it. Why hasn't someone disproven any of it? Are you that lazy?

So is your judgment based on simple prejudice, because you damn sure haven't made any informed arguments?

Not prejudice - you asked about other people's judgement and I gave you mine.

in my opinion, Obama vetoed the pipeline bill for one reason - to appease the environmental lobby. Eventually, the pipeline will be built after much delay and waste of time.

You do all this dubious research, but are you that lazy not to post your sources?

I already said I did the searches about nine months ago, but I don't recall saying anything about any dubious sources. Oh wait, didn't I write them all down and put them in my back pocket? I remember thinking VolFan32 will want some sources when it comes down to it, maybe in like nine months. I should have done that, I know I did that, but what was I wearing, which back pocket are they in?

I told you how things are. Anyway, if you are too lame to recognize the sources that I've already posted, why should I post more for you? Be careful what you ask for, because you might just get it.

I posted an article that clearly indicates there is substantial debate about the impact of Keystone on gas prices. Further, it demonstrated that a leading proponent of the "will raise prices" theory claims explicitly that any price increase would be limited geographically to the upper Midwest. The DoE (no current friend of Republicans) refutes that man's claims.

You continue to claim it will definitely raise prices for the US gas consumer and offer a series of hypothetical "if's" that when strung together and taken as the only factors involved prove your point.

Where you jump the shark is claiming that those who don't agree with your theory are either lying or do not understand economics even though you've been presented evidence that people who do this for a living cannot predict what will actually happen and have competing theories. As a side note, I doubt they consider those with other theories to be lying.

We both know that there are going to different opinions about this issue. I expect the Republicans could trot out a small army of experts to say I'm wrong. I don't care. Until someone makes a better argument than I've made, I'll stand on it.

You haven't made any informed arguments either, Pappy.

I'm not the one making the assertion and calling someone a liar. I don't have anything to argue. I'm pointing out that your support for your assertion is utter garbage. Maybe you're struggling with debate structure as much as you are forming a defensible position.

nobody cares to disprove it. You haven't provided enough info to support your point, so you're just another ill informed partisan clown making statements in the dark. If you proved to know enough to have a debate, someone might bother.

Now we are getting somewhere - you admit yours is an opinion. Next we'll work on how it's not lying if you express a different opinion than someone else. I suspect that one will take some time.

FYI, the Republicans didn't trot out the DoE and I'm quite sure their analysis is better than yours (just as one example).
