Republican National Convention

Do you seriously think that the GOP is ahead in this race right now? You can't believe that. Tell me the delusions about Crompton haven't bled over into politics.

Just like college football, the only pole that counts is the final one.

She is slightly less qualified for POTUS than Obama. Where she has strengths, he has weaknesses and vice versa. For you to continually trash her as having no relevant POTUS experience is equally bogus since 1) she is not running for POTUS and it is highly unlikely she will be called and 2) you never took as an aggressive experience tact with Obama.

I think, as predicting such things go, the likelihood of her being called upon to do that is much, much greater than the likelihood of Biden being summoned for that one day.

As to Obama, my issue is with the Republican spin machine and Fox, who are relentlessly changing the topic here and who just constantly claim the "main stream media" are all against Palin because they have the unmitigated gall to question her qualifications and becayse they have pointed out the fact that McCain's vettting team is evidently made up of a drunk monkey, a kid with blunt crayons, and a bar of used soap.

I think the GOP has the upper hand in candidate qualifications and that matters across independents and undecideds, who will decide this election.

Further, the dems can't like at all the Palin fires up supporters and will bring people to the polls.

I underestimated her. She knows more about ANY subject than does Obama.

What? That's ridiculous. She has more experience than he has in some areas...but Obama is not an idiot...she probably knows more than him about some things, but don't sell Obama that short.

she just blistered Harry Reid, and badly.

Probably would have been deleted by a mod if written on here.

It's not a matter of who's "ahead" right now.

I do seriously think that the McCain/Palin ticket will is stronger than the Obama/Biden ticket....and I'm confident that McCain will be our next President.

I may vote for MCain. I'd be more inclined to if he had the stones to say that certain people touting his party are doing all of us a lot more harm than good. But I digress...

A higher likelihood of a small percentage chance is still a small percentage chance.

The fact that you don't equally recognize the Dem spin machine and left biases of other media shows you are not viewing this from a neutral position.

Don't insult us with this accusation of bias when you bring bias with your own posts. Man up and admit it. It's okay.

Actually, I agree with this. She has certainly galvanized the base at this point, tapping into the us against the mainstream/liberal press sentiment.

I just don't think the afterglow on that has a long half life.

Sure and those guys in Ga may have really found Big Foot.

I have to agree - Obama is clearly intelligent and knowledgeable on many relevant issues. She is likewise intelligent and knowledgeable on many relevant issues.

Tell me his good ideas.

I didn't say he was full of good ideas....I said that he isn't an idiot. Your post was about knowledge, not the quality of ones platform. For example, I would say that he knows a good deal more about law than she does. This isn't an endorsement...I'm just saying that your post was gross exaggeration.

Is this the same litmus test you hold for Obama?

Republicans are coming out to vote. Palin helped immensely and the ridiculous media crush on Obama did the rest.

I would agree that the press absent Fox, Washington Post, and National Review type outfits tend to be a bit Dem-leaning in their coverage of such matters.

That doesn't mean I will look the other way at the hijinks of the likes of Hannity, Wallace, et. al.
