Republican National Convention

and I wanna live in yours, where a good teleprompter reading littered with lies is presidency worthy.

you've got it wrong - I don't think Palin is worthy to be president.

But I will tell you what I think is worthy of voting for someone - policies you tend to agree with, and the attributes of the individual running for office: mainly, love of humankind, wisdom, and charisma. Wisdom to use the best information to make the best decisions, heart and soul in the right place when making those decisions, and the charisma to influence others.

Get those three things, and you're alright. Whether someone can field dress a moose or would be fun to drink a beer with is irrelevant. I don't want them to be like me - I want them to be a hell of a lot smarter than I am.

I was impressed. They really got into the nitty gritty of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Had a conversation at a level of detail I haven't heard any of the politicians speak so far.

Go to about 2:40 into this. Where they start talking about a military option with Iran. Then they start talking about Iraq, etc. I realize some may disagree with his point of view regarding the military. I mgiht end up disagreeing and voting for McCain. But I think conversations like this one defuse the notion that he can only speak off of a teleprompter.

why the hell he went back on is beyond me.

how do love of humankind and charisma really fit Abe Lincoln? How about the rest of the list of our greatest presidents?

So you wish Reagan could be president again? Me too.

I honestly don't think he can read it too well. That, and I think he's losing his mind a bit. Just a tad bit of dementia creeping in there.

He's held up amazingly well considering what he went through as a POW. That said, at 72, its natural for someone's mind not to be as sharp as it once was.

Remember Perot's VP who was also a POW.

yeah right, I suppose everyone who doesn't like Obama is a racist by your logic.

You think everyone who doesn't want to vote for McCain or think his VP is qualified it's because of his age or sex? Maybe they dont like the direction the country has went for the last 8 years, when the Republicans have been the dominant party??

you don't like English speaking folk either, apparently. So you're anti-women, anti-elderly and pro foreigner. I just can't figure you out (except that the sky is falling wherever you are).

How are you the dominant party when you control neither the House nor Senate?

I'm more of a 'sky is holding steady' type of guy than I am falling sky or rising sky. Guess that makes me Chicken Median or Chicken Mean.

Chicken Mean is far more accurate with it's dual meaning....that's not an insult either. Unfortunately, candor is too often confused with being mean for the more sensitive.
