Republican National Convention

The only thing the Republican party had going for them, was at one time they really were more financially conservative then the democrats, but not any more. They are just as liberal spenders as the democrats, if not more and its time to throw both parties out.

Fine, I'll concede and give you the better climate policy, just to avoid the argument. That being said, it means he has a better policy on the 1,052,123 most important issue.

I would just like to re-state my opinion that HER policies don't really matter all that much. It worries me that she might be the eventual nominee if elected veep....but I'll deal with that later. I would not like her at the top of a ticket. So, it wouldn't even be worth the debate (thanks for not jumping at it)...her role is not a policy role on this ticket.

....but I would also say that climate policy is much more important than that to me (it could have serious economic consequences...on both sides of the issue...)

CNN's post-speech coverage seems to be pretty good..maybe I should turn it over to MSNBC so that I can get really ticked at the pure stupidity that emerges in election cycles.

It was unbelievable. It was nothing more than attacking Palin under the guise of reading someone else's copy.

They went to him for his analysis of the Palin's speech and he made a few comments then read that. Unbelievable. Even Fox wouldn't have the balls to do that with their core anchor. NBC has given up any pretense of what they'd like to see happen.

They don't. She'd be a heartbeat away from the POTUS. Your policies say everything about how you view the world and how you reason your way through issues. So I'll go back to what ticked you off in the first place....ahhh nevermind.

Olberman is such a jackass. He just corrected somebody on the pronunciation of "pundit".

I missed the speech but just caught some clips of it, and all I can say is... wow. Palin just tore the media and the left a new one.

I turned it to MSNBC to catch the Klein comment. Pure garbage, anyone who claims there is not a media bias is a) saying that because they're ok with it or b)have their head in the sand.

Palin is awesome.

This election is about Obama vs. McCain....people generally vote the top of the ticket....I do....

...that's not to say that VP choices don't matter, but their policies get obscured by their ticket's policies. And the policies of the ticket are set by the POTUS-nominee.

I am no fan of KO, but would you disagree with that assessment? She did seem a bit nasty -- not that there's anything wrong with that in partisan politics.

The question is did he make similar corrections to mocking statements or more importantly mistatements at the DNC? I think we all know the answer.

Olbermann saying that about anyone is ironic, but no it's called fighting back, something that's been sorley lacking from the R's.

If given 2 adjectives to describe the speech, I wouldn't have selected either of those.

I have to give Anderson Cooper and John King credit for calling out some partisan criticisms of Palin. AC in particular said, I don't remember anyone discussing who wrote the speech for Dems, why are we mentioning someone probably wrote the Rep speech.

Thanks for the lesson TT, I know who people generally vote for.

We are going round and round on nothing. The R VP pick has better reasoning abilities than the D P pick. Again, no hyperbole.

Oddly enough, as annoying as I find Olberman, I actually like Matthews. He's liberal and everyone knows it, but you can tell he has an appreciation for the whole process.
