Republicans on Volnation.

I'd certainly like to make $73,000 a minute.

I'd like for all the politicians posturing about this to propose to suspend the gas tax but that won't happen either.

I just don't understand how the Dems plan on regaining control of the house with no solutions. The newest one on gas is we need to tax any company that makes too high a profit. Huh? It goes against everything we strive for and yet some people are buying it.

Then we have Howard Dean calling for an "end to divisiveness" while calling the Iraqi PM an anti-Semite (used incorrectly BTW) and comparing a FL Repub to Stalin. This is the head of the Dem party! Get a clue, it will backfire.

Oil refineries will be controlled by my empire to keep gas prices down.

What is killing this country is both extremes.

The gap between Demos and Repubs is really not that large. The gap between extreme left/right wingers is huge.

Who are you? Who let you in? :wink2:

What you never realize is that most people are predisposed to vote one way because of their background. The fact is that most of us do not have the ability to think for ourselves and discover our own political identity. IMO we are under the worst president since Truman and people will still blindly support him and his party and their policies reguardless of how bad the economy is.

Since I have came to America one of the most passionate discussions has been the ever increasing gas prices. I have heard many people I know in this area, most republicans, complain about the gas prices and what a strain on the budget it is, yet 75% of them would not vote a different way the next election. Why? cos I cant vote for a durn liberal, gimme a break!

You are just wrong on this. Most have the ability to think for themselves. I vote based on which candidate most matches what I want to see happen. While you may be exposed to one view at an early age, there is nothing saying that is the way it must be. In your opinion, why is Bush the worst since Truman? Is that just something you heard or do you have personal feelings to back it up?

As much as you want to believe it, the Repubs are not to blame for gas prices. We have debated this many times.

Was Harry Truman a bad President? Between recognizing Israel and using nuclear weapons to end a Word War, you have to at least give him credit for making some incredibly difficult decisions.

Honestly Politics is a bunch a Horse $h*t and everybody tries to screw up the opposing side. Its just a game always having to be "Different" sides but the key to all of it is Money, Power, and Deception. I say John Stewart for President!! Man my family would kill me if they heard me say that... lol

Except they'd make him run under his own name and that would confuse all the people who buy his act.

You believe an airplane did not strike the pentagon on 09/11. Enough said.

Why is it never the GOP's fault? Damn they so are put down upon.

You tellin me that the oil execs who almost always financially back the candidates from the right cannot take a cut in profits so that ordinary drones like me and you can get gas cheaper at the tanks?

Come on, you think ExxonMobil and BP etc were pulling for Kerry in 04? gimme a break, stop shifting the blame away from the oilmen who run the country. Are you a Haslam by any chance? If so I want some free gas at Pilot!! :shades:
