Bama fans are so fickle they are already talking smack about him on local talk radio for bringing his wife to the meeting.
I for one dont see this being a good move for bama. But, thats what we want right?...lol

WVU's HC is going to Alabama? Let's see Nick Saban - you struck out. Steve Spurrier - struck out; Bob Stoops - stuck out; Bob Petrino - struck out. If Bama does indeed get RR away from WVU they will only get the 3rd best coach in the Big East and missed out on all the guys they really wanted. I'm not sure I would be puffing my chest out just yet.

A) They didn't try for Bob Stoops. Their delusional fans brought that up, not Mal Moore.

B) Compare the records of the 3 coaches in the Big East before you name CRR the 3rd best.

I doubt Bama fires this guy after 4 years if he is moderately successful.
They were heavily criticized for firing Shula.

At some point even bama has to revaluate how they hire and fire coaches.

It's dumb because first of all he was already making 1.1 mill. and he'll take a 2 mill penalty. This is possibly the most stressful job in the USA.

I think it is a pretty good hire. Unfortunately, Bama will get RACKED by UT and Auburn every year. I see the future of Arkansas looking bright right now, and hell, even that idiot at LSU will beat them as well. That is at least 4 loses in a season not counting the typical Bama blowups to some crappy team.
