Let’s just sanitize all our history so nobody gets offended or their feelings hurt. Once statues and monuments are gone, we can rewrite the history books with no visuals left to question the new narrative.
The character of every single statued Confederate is nothing short of hot garbage. The idea that somebody’s feelings are getting hurt over 100 year old statues is ridiculous garbage. Nobody raised a ruckus in previous decades when it probably would have been more likely to be open to real conversations from both sides without all the leftist screeching and hurled ism/ist labels towards anyone with a different opinion.
This generation thinks they’re woke.. bullcrap, woke was folks that came out of the 60’s and 70’s actually seeing the character of the person and not the color of their skin.
It's because these people would rather watch a NCIS marathon 5 nights a week instead of taking the time to read a book or even freaking Googling something.Come on. The idea that we need Confederate statues as some kind of visual aid for history, and that they’re the only thing preventing us from forgetting our entire historical record, is alarmist garbage
They have been talking about this for 40 years and the answer until the last 3 years has been the same answer the Tennessee Legislators gave for defending the bust of Nathan Bedford Forest. The idea that somebody’s feelings are getting hurt over 100 year old statues is ridiculous garbage. Since we’re determined to view the past through a lens of today, let’s take down the Lincoln Memorial because on multiple occasions Honest Abe verbalized the views of a racist and white supremacist.
Just go ahead and remove reminders of all the Presidents that had slaves (it’s only 12 or so) or racist views. Don’t forget to destroy Mount Rushmore while you’re at it.
Oh, and all those Northern folks that had slaves, any remembrance to them has got go as well.
All the battlefields need to go, all the way back to the Revolutionary War. Let’s not forget the cemeteries either. Those headstones from the Civil War and Revolutionary War, out of here because of slave owners.
Since we know how far back we need to go, where do we start removing history? Do we begin at the Civil Rights Movement and work backwards or the end of segregation, or voting rights? Wait, there’s still racism today in this country, so let’s wait until theses riots are over and work backwards from there. We don’t want to leave anybody out.
Once you open the box it becomes bottomless.

I mean he only wrote that racist Declaration of Independence and that George Washington what did ever do to deserve a monument or have a capital city or state named after him?Mizzou Students Demand Removal of ‘Racist’ Thomas Jefferson Statue
Student protesters at the University of Missouri have circulated a petition that calls on Mizzou officials to remove a “racist” Thomas Jefferson statue from campus grounds.
The Jefferson statue at the University of Missouri is not the only historical monument to be targeted by leftists in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. A bust of George Washington’s head was knocked over last week at George Washington University. Some students took to Twitter to praise the vandalism.
These sound much better.
Fort Benning > Ft. Sherman
Fort Bragg > Ft. Howard
Fort Lee > Ft. Thomas
Fort Hood > Ft. Buford
Fort Polk > Ft. Butler
Fort Pickett > Ft. Hancock
Fort AP Hill > Ft. Sheridan
Camp Beauregard > Cp. Anderson
Fort Gordon > Ft. Gibbon
Fort Rucker > Ft. Chamberlain
you sound like it's impossible to judge a man by his actions and character? It's not an argument. Some people do this and its a proper way to look at others.People have been making this argument for several decades. Bryan Stevenson has been doing it his entire life, and he ain’t young. “Colorblindness” was a farce and always will be.

I’m fine with removing all statues and all names tied to the Civil War, but only if Black History Month is abandoned as well as affirmative action. No more minority quotas. Let everyone be judged by their honest qualifications and not by the color of their skin.
