Listen, I don't agree with what the Confederate cause. Slavery is wrong and they fought for it which makes what they did very wrong. Still, using equality as your reasoning for wanting it removed isn't sensible since the statue is an inanimate object that has no influence over anything.

The reason many desire for them to removed is the desire to erase history. Right now it's removing statues. Eventually the woke mob will demand that schools not teach students about many parts of American history because it's racist. When history's mistakes are forgotten, those mistakes will be repeated.

Statues aren't history and inanimate objects like burning crosses, nooses, structures with the N word written on them, and unjust laws impact equality all the time
